Yes flattie fishing is hard to beat Chris, I get bored bass fishing, that is definitely a flounder the orange spots will fade when a flounder is out of the water, but plaice spots won’t, good to see you out on the beach

I kept a couple for my aunt she loves flounder. I have a bit of fish in the freezer so once I'm done with that I can get some more. I wouldn't say no to a few cod in there now

I've just got back it's hitting high tide in castletown bay/harbour with a huge wind behind pushing it straight off the sea 🌊 so after trying ledger floating sandeel and a good few lures and blanked it was just too windy. Anyway I'll watch this making a blank a little less painful 🙃 worse days fishing beats best day working!!

When I fish for turbot I use a wessex rig bait it up. Instead of a lead weight I put a 60 gram metal jig on . Cast out as far as possible then let the water move the rig around . It will come back in eventually. So more are less it's finding the fish . Are cast out and reel in really slowly .

Hi Eddie to be honest I was the only one on the beach so it didn't matter if it swung all around the place. Also flounder love to chase a bait so a rolling lead searches around the humps and hollows. Now had it gotten much stronger I'd of had no choice but to put a gripper on

It really all depends on the venue and the fish I'm after. Usually rays and dogs are far as I can then flounders and bass are into the waves
