Great to see that the side cast reel hasn't been sent to the garbage bin of history, my Alvey reel was purchased 50 years ago and is still going strong, good one Lozza, keep the faith.

I'm a fresh water fisherman and I just enjoy watching your videos so that I know what i'm down when I get chances to go down to the coast. Great videos, and if you want a rod with a flurescent tip, the shimano sonic surf has a nice bright tip about 2-3 eyelets down the rod once its had a bit of light on it. I recommend adding it to your rod collection.

Hi, Roger! Love your fishing instructional videos! Best I've ever seen. I have a question for you on the influence of floodtime creek water flowing into a beach. I was down Racecourse Creek, Ulladulla during the recent heavy rains, and Racecourse Creek was flowing a banker into the northern end of the beach near the headland. All those ... tannins or terpenes, or whatever the heck those biochemicals coming out of the bushland's trees are ... they were foaming up a brown gunk in the surf up around the trough near the headland. Surprising just how far down the beach from the creek's outlet the brown foam extended. My question is: just how offputting to the fish do you reckon that brown water is? Regards and Thanks, Chris

Hi. I always enjoy watching your vids 👍 Beautiful beaches you guys have that side of the world. Here in south Africa, we have more turbulent waters. Just a few questions for you. 1) I see you mainly prefer the "coffee grinder style of reel" is that a personal preference? 2) curious as to why you don't use a "bucket" strap like Loz does 3) with regards to the length of your fish trace rig, what is the length of the hook line from the swivel to the hook. In cm's please 😊 Lastly, how close are you the the beach, from your home😊 I'd love to have been able to live close to the water..only helhet to fish weekends and sometimes public holidays. Ps Love your vids.. keep up the good work 👍

We have been to Narrabeen, Macmaster, Forrester, Killcare, Lakes, Mona Vale, The Entrance, Tiona, One Mile and Birubi. We learnt so many things from your Videos. Thus, we managed to catch Salmons, Tailors, Breams, Long Toms, Flatheads, Sand Whitings, Flounders, Darts and so on. We really appreciate your teaching for surf fishing. But we cannot catch any single beach worms at any beaches. Please kindly teach your viewers how to catch beach worms more easily. Thanks.

Great Show So interesting to see beach worms used as bait! Totally foreign concept hear in the SE USA Also interesting you all still use the term , Jew Fish. Too politically incorrect here in the US Our term now is Goliath Grouper Folks too sensitive 🥺 here😊
@RogerOsborneFishing5 ай бұрын
Hi John, thanks for your comment. Worms are very good bait off the beach here. Those fish have been called Jewies for decades here, no reference to the Jewish people. They were originally known as Jewel Fish from the two bones in their skull that can be polished as jewels, but it just got shortened to Jewies
@theanimaaal7 ай бұрын
Rog, your mate Lawrence obviously doesn't know that you will keep getting tangled if you don't use enough lead! He appears to be using pond fishing tackle! Nothing clever about using stupidily light gear, the fish aren't gonna bite if your bait is getting swept past them too fast!
