How do you bait up live hardbacks? I had a go for Smoothhounds today and the crabs just kept coming back as empty legless husks 😳 Caught some doggies on squid and one of them got attacked by a whacking great big conger - which also foul hooked on my stinger and wrapped everything in a huge messy tangle.....but not a blank....and my first ever conger. All returned safely by the way - even the ambushed doggie 😊
@seaangling3 жыл бұрын
Bait hardbacks by putting a 4/O or 5/O through the back legs and then elastic all the legs on one side to the hook shank.

Hi just been watching you hound vid at Park Shore New Forest from 2 years ago. I don't know the area very well but what is the post code/road or grid ref for the car park, how far is the walk from car to beach and is it unfishable in summer due to weed. Please advise. Also heard it's private is that true? Thank you keep up the great work/ vids. Thank you. simon.
@seaangling Жыл бұрын
First and foremost it is private and belongs to the Beaulieu estate. You can buy a day ticket or annual pass from the office at the motor museum. It is a walk from the car park but it is level and hard ground so not too difficult. If you look on the map and find Lymington/Beaulieu you will also find Sowley pond. Park shore is in that area.
