Good session again, three species and as you say better than telly. I'm back from house hunting, subject to contract got a house 5 minutes from a beach in Paignton, if things go well will be moving to the coast this summer, as a family you would be more than welcome to stay.

Nice session man, I just went out yesterday got 2 nice whiting glad you showed how to use the disgorger. I have one tried it last night ended up going for the forceps instead. I live pretty close to eastney do you recommend fishing the tide out? I always go and fish it 3 or 4 hours before high tide.

Just remember to pull the line down as far can, vertical to the shingle. Personally, I think Eastney can fish on either tide as long as there's movement.

Is Eastney really any good for rays? Coz of the tide depths and there never seems to be many mermaid purses washed up and I always assumed that they were a good sign?

ive only ever caught a handful of rays and all of them were from eastney beach, either by the swimming baths or behind coffee cup are my 2 locations

It can be on its day, just have to get the right time of year and tides.

End of January/February is a complete waste of time fishing in the UK. You may as well use February's to service reels and make rigs.
