Excellent video, clear and informative. Seem to be dogs and rays all along the south coast at the moment. It’s weird but when I fished the shore a lot around Pompey back in the late 60s and early 70s rays, dogfish and smooth hounds were never caught from the shore.

Thanks David, I need to invest into my gopro accessories as they've been left for leary a tear and seized, so hopefully the videos will be better soon. The rays came in with the bad weather we had a couple weeks back, 2 days later. gone Global worming is changing the species we now get on our coastlines

I caught a spotted ray on Hayling back in 2019, haven't really seen much since, nice to see that they are still about, was only about 2lb. Haven't fished since, this given me the motivation to start going again! ❤

Very nice! In our last match there were 28 rays caught from eastney, 12 spotted, 15 thornbacks, 1 undulate, but 2 days later they were gone Spotted rays don't get that big at all, so although 2lb may seem little compared to the rest it's still okay 👌🏻 I'm glad the video has given you the motivation to get out again! Thanks for watching
