Another brilliant video Roger. I love how you explain what you are doing and why. Always very informative as we often tend to forget the basics of fishing. The better you hunt, the more you will reap. Big thumbs up to your wife too, for her great camera work! She deserves more accolades! ✌️

What a fabulous spot. That gutter you cast into at 20 minutes was perfect, and that whopper of a whiting did not surprise me. Congratulations Master Fisherman Roger Osborn.

Hi Roger. Trust you are well. Thanks for the nice video. Again I learned a couple of tips before my trip to the Sunshine Coast. Thanks for that. I like your "wack in", "flick in" and " and "cast in". Here in South Africa we only know one way "throw in". Maybe thats why I dont catch anything.😂

Hi Roger, A trick to easily got the rod holder deep into the sand, where the sand is wet push it lightly into the sand, seal it like a didgeridoo and suck the air out. The rod holder with automatically go deeper into the sand.

Go on Roger try a ray. Fry some strips in butter and soy, then dip it in Japanese mayo, with a little chilli flakes. Yummy.

@@Papaonwings Thats a bit rough mate. Roger has mentioned in a number of his vids that people eat them and that he was kind of considering it. I have eaten it a few times in restaurants and it is not bad at all. You know 60 years or so ago hardly any Australians would catch and eat squid, then we kinda followed the Italians and Greeks. Just because you are not incline to try does not mean it is not good.😀

Hey Roger, was just wondering how you prepare your Australian salmon before eating them. I caught one recently and don’t know how to cook it and what the best ingredients are to use
Gday..I don’t know what Roger thinks, but I bleed them immediately then fillet them. Make sure you eat them fresh. I cut the fillets into pieces and then egg and breadcrumbs. Australian Salmon a much underrated table fish
