Yeah, it’s kind of discouraging. I stood on the beach for over 3 hours today and didn’t catch squat. In fact I’ve spent a lot of time beach fishing this season and haven’t caught a single fish. I guess that’s why people have boats and kayaks so they can go where the fish are.

You should get a floating fish basket. You can keep fish alive in it. I use it for bait and fish that I may want to let go if I don't catch more.

Hey Matt, An old timer showed me a trick,have you heard of this? Ask the fellas. 1. Small cooler ice on bottom. 2.Wet rag on top of ice. 3. Place live shrimp on top of wet rag. 4. Place wet rag on top of shrimp. They will stay live a couple days. No water, no batteries. Can keep cooler in fridge overnight if need be.

Just sold our house in Port St Joe . Last winter I sold my Nautic Star 22’ bay boat . This is the first season in thirty two years that I have not been fishing several times by this time of the year . Your channel has convinced me that, “ I ain’t done yet “ ! I kept most of my rods and tackle . I have been hoping that I would find a new outlet for my need to fish . I’m ready to hit the beaches . Over my adult lifetime I have been fortunate to travel and fish in a lot of Florida locations. I now need to load up and go ! I have two 11’ surf rods . Looking for a rod to pair with a Penn Slammer 6500 HS that I received as a Christmas gift………..🤔Please give me a suggestion as well as what to spool it with. I gotta question for all you saltwater fisherman I see sometimes people bleed their fish. Is this necessary and what fish caught from beach, piers, or bridge ects would you do this to. I know if you keep shark you gut it asap but never had seen bleeding a fish other then tuna. Got a 2 week trip planed coming up soon and 90% of it will be fishing. I cant wait.
