Thanks for the great content. When fishing a a spoon do you mostly use a steady retrieve so it doesnt get stuck on bottom or jig it as it comes back? I dont have much experience with this type of lure

Good information on the gear. Can you do an updated video for gear that beginners can look into? Maybe all the needed gear to get started including rods and reels for $150 or less?

For spanish cast and retrieve the lure like you’re trying to take it away from the fish and keep them from getting it! For bluefish let the lure sink to the bottom and retrieve much slower.

Spoon, pen slammer, spanish.... maybe bonita or young albacore. Ok... blues.... ladies...... blues stink for food unless fresh and properly cleaned. Rather eat bonita.

I went out on the party boats out of NJ when I was a kid. We'd bring a 55 gal trash can to put the fish in. It'd be overflowing by the end of the night! Good times, eh!

Throw something Shiney (spoons or gotcha plugs), reel as fast as you think you can, then reel a little faster! They roam around like a wolf pack

People that don't know might think you were being dramatic saying they can bite your finger off. 6th - 11th grade in Dover Delaware. Every year at least one person was reported on news to have lost an appendage.

Used to catch 12-20 pound blues blitzing the surf on Hatteras Island in NC regularly late '80s thru the mid '90s. Amazing seeing them chasing schools of Speckled Trout into the wash on the beach. I once dip netted a 7-8lb Speck between my feet. One big bite out of it...

You ever use the larger 6.5inch yozuri mag darter in the mullet pattern? Think that may help a bit especially if you know you have fish species in the area that eat the mullet. I love using the white and holographic bronze due to the two colors really do cover alot of the color patterns of the bait out there.

I've never commented but watched a lot of your vids. I am commenting because I loved the fact you did not spend 2-5 minutes at home telling us what you were planning... I use that as commercial time and go do things so I can watch you fish. Loved that you were ready to jump in and then talk. Even got a like. I'm pretty tight with those... ;-) thanks for what you do. It;'s not a complaint ... only comment.. sort of like opinions and other things.. we all have one.

I’ve noticed after following you for over three years that you spend very little time in the water. The few times I’ve fished the beach, I find myself in the water a lot. I guess I’m trying to get out further. Why is it You don’t wade in the water?

In the panhandle of Florida (and the gulf coast of Alabama) the trough between the shoreline and the sandbar is closer and deeper than on the Atlantic coastline. You don’t have to cast as far (or over the sandbar) to catch common targets species like whiting and pompano. If you’re specifically targeting larger fish you can wade out to make sure your cast gets past the sandbar, but if you’re just wanting to bring home dinner there’s usually not a need to do that.
@FoulOwl211219 сағат бұрын
In the Panhandle the first and second sandbars are usually closer in than many other shorelines.
