"As I was leaving, I asked if he'd give me a ride home. I hadn't ridden on a motorcycle in a long time. Actually, I hadn't been that close to a man for a while. The road wasn't that long, and I knew I'd be getting off soon. But at that moment I felt such warmth".

The world is a monster, but you don't have to see it. So, you don't have to fear it. So you get to live. But we are stalked by it. It waits for hope to touch us. Between the folds and stitches of time, it itches. Writhing out and taking the lives and souls, of anyone who might love us. Anyone who would hold us. Anyone who could warm us from the cold. Cleanse of from the taint and shame that the world inflicts on us. To keep us in shadows or in light, UNABLE, To experience anything except what is unholy and unwhole. To anticipate hell around every corner, To see our sins corrupt whatever we touch, To shuffle along, To feel passions fell into shallow desires, To wallow and want to drown in the shallows, You can drown in inches of liquid, But we just lie here and choke, To have always have silence, Never stillness or quiet, To never be nourished, To always be empty, To shuffle along, To die, And we know in the end this monster waits, with a list of all we've done and failed to do. To accuse us, and celebrate it's victory, over our weakness, And you think you're strong, because you don't have to fear this monster, But it never came after you, because you never tried to live. You never loved truth, or had any passions to subdue. So it waits to celebrate it's victory over you, too. So, I'm going to embrace a passion. I'm going to get a grip, of that slippery eel, that hides my courage, down it's throat. I'm going to hope and fight again. I don't want to live like you. You have nothing to offer.

I typically think edits like these are really cheesy. However, I couldn’t agree more. This song really suits this movie. It reminds me of Lost in Translation when MBV starts playing and there's a B-roll of the city.
@aronibasuroy Жыл бұрын
@@OGCompleteI usually scoff at fanmade music videos like these because most of them seem like an edgy, moody teenager's side project. But Wong Kar Wai's shots really elevate this way above some im14andthisisdeep trash.

Im jealous of people who wont ever grasp just how devastating this movie truly is with the way it conveys loneliness, especially with the way Michelle Reis portrays apathy. Its really nice to see my favourite film and song in a single video and recently this song have been hitting like a truck. To whoever made this video, I’m sure you must have gone through some pretty lonely and rough moments in your life too to be able to cohesively piece these two masterpieces together. I hope things are better for you now and if not, may it change soon :)

First of all you have to find a good quality file to work with. Then, with adobe premiere, there are some video effects that can help you to improve video quality, like "sharp mask" (i think it's called in english). Also neat video can give you a big hand, but you have to use it carefully or it will make look everything out of focus 😅. Then export the video to the maximum resolution possible, because KZbin codec shitty bitrate will kill your original file quality. So exporting it in 4K helps, because the bigger the file, the less KZbin can screw it up 😅
