It sounds like she’s describing the end of youth. The imagery is very evocative of adolescence and young adulthood: roller skatin' in the parking lot, lollipops, confetti on the floor. This seems like the best time she’s had and she realises it’s over when she sees “black sequins disappearing”, perhaps signifying that she's changed the way she dresses, changes in style that reflect a change in her mindset.

@@indorianshell same, but I absolutely ADORE their old albums, Thank Your Lucky Stars, 7, Bloom, and Depression Cherry. I can literally have any one of those on repeat night and day and never get tired of it.

@@indorianshell to me the new stuff sounds overly produced, too polished, the lyrics are trite and the songs are very repetitve and mechanical whereas the old stuff is more original sounding, melody based, carefully crafted, emotionally evocative, and organic, not pop-fluffle if that makes any sense
