What an infectious smile Edie possessed! Who was to know that beautiful sun shiny day on July 24,1971 that Edie would pass away just four months later on November 16,1971. Quote by MENANDER ~ "Whom the gods love dies young."

You slide out on sunset Head west on bedrest On your own , on your own Get dressed to undress Depress to impress All night long , all night long Turn on the TV They all wanna see me Come undone Come undone Pick all the petals Off all the daisies One by one The feeling's here The pattern caught in a falling tear And in the waves One goes and the other one knows (One house) The feeling's here (She wore) The pattern caught in a falling tear (Too soon) And in the ways One goes and the other one knows Baby's gone All night long Baby's gone All night long

"Before they both fell asleep, Post gave Sedgwick the medication that had been prescribed for her. According to Post, Sedgwick started to fall asleep very quickly and her breathing was "bad - it sounded like there was a big hole in her lungs", but he attributed it to her heavy smoking habit and went to sleep. When Post awoke the following morning at 7:30 a.m., he found Sedgwick dead." I think the last line from the song references the way she passed, and it's so devastating to think about. "Baby's gone all night long."

I loved Andy warhole since I was a child the bright colours. But as I grew up and found out how he used people 4 fame. Especially edie such a beautiful soul , she always looked sad and frightened all she wanted was to b loved. And when andy had used her he threw her away like rubbish .

She's actually the girl on the album cover! Sorry I was wrong, they said in a AMA on Reddit that it's a collage of different vintage models, but I can tell that the eyes are probably Eddie's.

Warhol and his crowd helped Edie to her death and then no one felt remorse for what they did to her. They were too busy being cool.
@imsocuteimsorich49522 жыл бұрын
Garfield Frankle I agree when someone said to Andy Warhol; Edies dead he replied I I thought she died years ago,that was 😢,she was any easy target for people of the factory because of her innonce and wealth and when she was cut of from her family and no more money she was discarded ,that destroyed her to destruction and died not caring ,rest in peace Edie you were a beautiful person,may you be happy where ever you are and with the true people who lived you and you them amen 😘🌹🌈☀️💏

Very well said. Killing her was a team effort. 50 or so years ago I sought to go to NYC and make it as an artist and break into that whole scene. Then I had a college professor who was an artist-in-residence. He had made it big in NYC as an artist, knew Warhol, other big names and the big dealers; - - - - but he left in disgust. He told me all about the realities and how it was not really about making good art. I went on my own and developed as an artist and did very well - not financially, but my work makes a lot of people happy and that is plenty enough for me. Just look at that Warhol quote you referenced, and what it really shows about him - - - making a clever, cool quip mattered more than the human life he helped to destroy. They provided Edie everything except what she needed - - - - a true friend who would hold her up, protect her and help her have a happy life.

Who else thinks she looks a lot like the actress Zoey Deutch? Serena Miller did a fantastic job in movie Factory Girl though.
