This song makes you remember how happy you were in the past, with your family, school friends. Once you become an adult, everything changes. Friends go far from you, others went the wrong way, others God took them. It hurts more when you lose someone in your family. And you always think it only happens to others. Your mother or grandmother always dreamed of seeing you graduate, but you never imagined graduating in their absence, and knowing that that moment with your friends will be your last at college.

Guys, this might get lost here in the comments but ill tell it anyways. My favorite mexican restaurant is closing down after so many years. Landlord asked them to leave and they cannot find another place to re locate. This breaks my heart. Mostly cause when i was at my lowest that place fed me comfort food. I feel like i lost members of my own family with the staff. I know its silly but this place gave me a place i could get away from everything and just eat and have a beer. My best friend and i go there all the time and it feels like coming home. Goodbye Lily's, you were one of the last good places to eat at in my neighborhood. Ill always miss you. I started listening to Beach house way back when I was around 12 or 11 and I have to say that Beach house is the absolute best band that I have ever heard and will ever hear. I'm not saying this because I just listened to Space song, but I've listened to all the 109+ Beach house songs, and not a single one failed to capture me heart and soul. Anyone from Octuber 2024? Let me tell something... If you feel lost and want to give up on everything, don't give up. If you're sad, be happy. If you're afraid of the future, live in the present. If you miss the past, move on, to have better moments. If you're afraid of losing someone remember that it is normal, nothing in life is infinite. If you are addicted to something bad, look for meditation or do physical exercises. Life is full of mysteries and surprises, and we are almost nothing compared to the size of the universe, but while If there is kindness in your heart, you will be greater than the universe. Make your future, don't make others decide yours. Live in the present, and love the people you love.

@@Bike65729 One thing i can relate this song to is realizing that your life on earth has completely fallen apart, your family has abandoned you, no one wants to help, and you are left walking towards your house in pitiful defeat and confusion. You walk to the back door and swing it open; in that moment, you perceive the backyard as the entire world, the fences as not something barricading your sight, but keeping you from falling further into the pit of nothing. You look towards your starship, knowing that there's nothing left for you on this hunk of rock, so you put on your power armor, get in the seat, and leave Earth, not to come back later, but to find prosperity in the stars and void above.

In 2006, my parents got a dog on Christmas. Me and my brother were only a year and 9 months old. He was an English Mastiff. I grew up with him. I loved him so much. In March 2015, he began acting strange. He always hated blankets for some reason, like if we were to put one on him he would get up right away. I put a blanket on him and he didn’t even move. A friend he had never seen before came over and he didn’t even react. I can’t remember how much later this was, but we noticed he was extremely bloated. We took him to the vet. He had cancer. It was soul crushing. I had loved this dog more than anything. We stayed there with him that morning, at the vet, on the table. It was the first time I saw my dad cry. I will never forget that moment. We went home without the dog. I will never forget how quiet the house seemed. No animal to greet you. It was so bad that we got two cats the same day. We also got another English Mastiff in 2018. He really fills the gap. 3/22/15. I miss you Sammy/Sampson.

is it me or the begining of the music feels like an ending of a movie wich most of the character's friends died or something and suddenly he's lonely and the credits roled in?

the beach house actually composed this track to be used in movies hence it feels like the end credits of a movie playing, but it never ended up being used in movies though. they said this in an interview

This song feels like when you get something expensive that your rich friend can't even afford. And also I commented like 1 year ago,if you want you can find it,but if you don't want to,just don't do it,have fun!

The guitars in this sound like they're crying, but not a soft sob, but like pure, unfettered anguish, like the sound of giving up, the sound of loss. The sound of longing, the sound of heartbreak. It's such a profound experience every time I hear this song.

It was late at night You held on tight From an empty seat A flash of light It will take a while To make you smile Somewhere in these eyes I'm on your side You wide-eyed girls You get it right Fall back into place Fall back into place Tender is the night For a broken heart Who will dry your eyes When it falls apart? What makes this fragile world go round? Were you ever lost? Was she ever found? Somewhere in these eyes Fall back into place Fall back into place Fall back into place Fall back…

This song doesn't make me cry, but it definitely makes me feel something I have never felt before. It's a mix of sadness and realization that not everything is OK. When I was younger, I was fat, depressed and lonely, but I told myself everything was fine. I see how wrong I was. I am still fat, but I now recognise my problems, and I have been going to the gym for 3 months consecutively. To whoever who is feeling like this out there, boy you aint the only one. Edit: thanks a lot for the support guys, but I am not the only one who needs it. Get out there and help those close to you. Yall got this.
