What you described in this video the proper name would be a Runnel. Which means a strong backwash caused by gravity waves or storm waves. The waves are pulling the sand and sediment into the sea.

Another great hunt with a lot of cool finds. I also have problems with the Hero 8 batteries in the cold.
@jerebigler75203 жыл бұрын
Great finds! Can't find it if you aren't out there looking for it. Kudos to all you guys for braving the cold and getting it done. Could you do us a favor? Try holding the finds a bit further away from the camera when you're in the field. Love to see them but it usually isn't in focus. May make for more enjoyable viewing. Just a thought. Thanks. Now, go have some hot chocolate!

Can you do a video on different pin pointers? I've used a White's pin pointer for years. Recently I bought Fisher F-Pulse that I think is better.

The Jetties are built there because of what's known as long shore drift. So you should see sand build up only on one side of the Jetties. Storm Waves !!! But not on a Summer Profile Beach.Denis

Older gold can turn black (not crusted black ) but will tarnish - if they used silver (which they did 100 yrs ago ) for the other alloy in 10k and 14k - I hunt and find mainly old gold and have gotten some that turn blackish - gotten a bunch that turned green and even crusted green old 10k class rings mainly because of brass and/or copper added to the gold
@MetalDetectingDonna3 жыл бұрын
@Casper What type of areas do you find the old gold? So cool!!
@caspermetaldetecting-donde33743 жыл бұрын
I made a lot of mistakes when i was younger - I would get old street atlases for towns all around New England and in WInters would go thru town by town
@caspermetaldetecting-donde33743 жыл бұрын
I would look for potential spots to hit down the road and circle them in my books - stupid thing was I did not want to give up hitting my regular spots to try for new ones - years passed and more people got into detecting
@caspermetaldetecting-donde33743 жыл бұрын
Thy would post hitting or i would hear about people hitting ...pounding these spots I had long wanted to hit- I thought - okay that spots no good now and this spots been pounded and never hit them - then i saw posts that spots guys said they cleaned out were now producing
@caspermetaldetecting-donde33743 жыл бұрын
So I gave some of these spots a try - first some Ct. beaches that went back to the 1800s - I went in with a PI and was finding real deep older gold and silver items - spots that tons of hunters pounded for fresh drops in the summers ...I was finding goodies down real deep they had passed over - I slowed down and went for whispers and started killing it with the old stuff
@Klarschiff3 жыл бұрын
I actually had gold rings (333/1000) that were black like this and I thought it was silver. Low carat gold can tarnish!

I pray for you that you don't have to bad of a reaction to the vaccine, when most doctors and nurses won't get it I'm not going to get it and it won't prevent you from getting the vid. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.

The difference between a jetty and a groin. Jetties are thousands feet longer. Which means a much stronger and longer .shore drift.

Merrill... I have the GoPro Hero 9... it's very nice camera, but the battery life sucks so bad. I have to carry extra batteries with me. If you film non-stop your battery will drain so fast it ain't even funny. I thought maybe in the winter with the cold temps the battery would last longer, nope it doesn't matter.
