Glad you liked the shovel. Hope it digs more treasure than trash. Note the brand name on it. Ames US and Bund OFW. are real US Military shovels. Might be other brands also. Congratulation on finding the 14K rings. The chain looked to be black, which is what most of the silver turns after being in the beaches for a while. They will clean up great. Take just one of those rings and see what your detector reads. remember that number. Watch for it. Next one might have something that sparkles on it. Larger gold rings will read higher numbers. depending on the mass. It is fun when you can find class rings then able to find the owners. I have returned 5-6 so far. Keep digging all of the targets. Pull tabs and gold rings can read and sound the same.

As for the chain, take it over to Bob, at Silver Eagle Coins in the same city you are detecting in. He's a stand up guy. As a kid we lived a block from the yacht harbor, three houses from the beach. They would dredge the yacht harbor every year so I go to watch it work quite a bit. -- That's a real handy Gopro mount. It's for sticking a Gopro on a standard 1/4 inch thread camera mount on a tripod or selfi stick. -- Nice find on the rings! Chained together like that I bet someone had them around their neck. -- Cool new shovel. Same design as your old one but much sturdier looking. I have one exactly like your old one so know how near useless it is. Not worth a darn for digging, but works fine for what I bought it for.. stirring a camp fire to make sure it's out. Here in California it's not legal to have a camp fire without a bucket and shovel next to the fire.

Great 14k rings make sure you get a small scale and then download the app coinflation it has a section where you enter the weight and the 14karat then it calculates the value of gold content Also please get a sand scoop that is steel and put a magnet in the bottom It will speed up your finds and also junk will cling to the magnet💥😘

Hi That's Lucy, ya Billy Bob was very excited about that gopro mount. I usually have my metal detector set for no discrimination, I like to dig up all the signals and find what's hiding beneath the sand or dirt. You should experiment with the different settings so you can get used to what they mean. That is the best way to learn metal detecting I think.
