Yes! I would like to see it cut into slices. Maybe 4 slices, so we can see how the color bands travels throughout the agate. I think there may be some Jasper hiding in there too. Please Cut!!! Thank you!

It is heaven to me to go to a Great Lake and hound for rocks. Dear, I’m almost 75 and went hounding last year on Michigan, Erie, Huron and Superior. I took a lot of videos on my phone and can go back clearly, any time I wish. So many wonderful stones to find and tumble.

Eventually you will collect enough of these big stones that you didn't want to cut and they will end up in a pile outside somewhere. My vote is to go ahead and cut them, you never know what the inside holds until you cut them open! My favorite stone you cut today was the little red oolitic jasper, that one would make some really awesome cabs!

That piece of green Coca Cola bottle is from a Christmas Coke bottle. There's lots of glass Christmas coke bottles with different stories behind their coloration, most of them being producedaroundChristmas. Some of the vintage ones are ridiculously expensive to collecters. The original 1800s Coke bottle was green as well. 8:54 Looks like a Montana Treasure State Agate. 12:32 Amygdoloidal rhyolite. Basically galaxy stone in rhyolite instead of basalt. 20:10 looks like fossil soup potentially.. Thanks for the fun hounding Taylor.

Great finds! I love the mystery stones - so many cool features in them. I wonder if they are some type of fossil, or maybe amygdules in host rock...not matter what they are fantastic. I think the small water level with quartz would make nice matching pendants. The big one is super cool, I agree its most likely a moss agate, the thick yellow portions do look a bit like chert or jasper and I love the texture. Anyway another great video - hope to see you out on the beaches some time!

Thanks for the chilly adventure Taylor. 🥶😃 It's always fun to tag along. I DO have a quick question: Is there a specific reason that you choose NOT to cut certain agates? (Like the one that weighed nearly 3 lbs.) Are they often more beautiful on the outside? Or is it just a personal preference to leave it in tact?

I heard you say MUD FOSSILS, I’ve never heard that before so I had to look it up. Ive been collecting artifacts for about 4-5 years now and have a lot of rocks like I see you and others on here cutting open. I learned about 2 years ago that some rock artifacts are what’s called PORTABLE ROCK ART or they call them EFFIGIES, which is something you should look up sometime. When I see you guys cut some of them in half, it’s actually pretty cool to see the inside and still be able to see carving. Not everything was a tool, some were made as offerings or for trade. It took me some time to actually see more then one thing carved in it, there are usually multiple things carved in them. I find mine here in Virginia in a river that butts up to a farm where we know for sure there were Native Americans, and I’m sure people before them. I have a huge 17x11 carved horse head, it’s 13 pounds and one that is a bear head, NO MISTAKING them for river rocks!! I just wanted to mention it, thanks for the new video! Always like to see what’s inside!!
