It’s easier to just turn each layer over and lay at the end of the tub with the water and jet dry and splashes up and down because all your gold will drop out to the floor of the tub

Yeah! A guy named the “Flour Gold Wizard” mines Lake Superior gold from the Wisconsin shore. The sand is lousy with gold there. Lots of black sand.

Wow, beach mining eh? Will try very soon.

Make sure that you put a little water when you’re all done in your washout tub and just a little squirt of jet dry and brush it real good with a bristle brush to get the gold out of the nooks and crannies and scratches

This turned out so cool! I was surprised at how much gold actually showed up!

Nice setup Paul! Almost looks like mine lol. @Washingtonbeachmining sells a nice speed controller for your pumps. Its really handy to adjust flow rate with the turn of a dial.

The sand you are scooping into your cube appears far lighter in color than the black sand the “Flour Gold Wizard” finds on the Wisconsin shore of Lake Superior. The sand on that shore runs in thick veins of pure black, and appears to my eye to have a larger yield of gold. Of course, the sea beaches of Nome, Alaska put this to shame. There are KZbin channels where guys are bringing six grams and more of gold per day, using a High banker, Cube, or similar set up with a gold pan. Alaska is just crawling with gold!

I found a nice patch of black sand on Lake Michigan today. It’s 10-12” thick. I did a test pan and had 6 colors in 1 pan. Going back tomorrow with some buckets to bring home. Need to get me a gold cube.

Cube is great, but get the sawtooth mats from Washington beach mining, makes the Cube waaayyy better, Good luck with the black sand, its miserable, but worth it.

@Paul Baker pretty sure I had way to much material in the pan when I panned it. Was near impossible to get it to stratify. Wasn’t till I got down to about 1/2 a pan till I could get it moving decent. Headed back in the morning with buckets to bring some home. 😉

Where do you find good concentrations of black sand? I have been up and down the beach and can only find thin layers
