In the beach one i believe they pass the ball by throwing it higher to give their teamate time to get into position and catch their breath. I am not a player. I just watch time to time. The hard part i believe is to be an all-around good player. Set,block,spike,serve,positioning

Of course there is. The taller one will always block (as his block will be higher and wide) and the "not so taller" who is more agile/quicker than the tall one will receive. Although there is no such rule, but it is an important and obvious strategy.

Bro I thought the same thing.... Sometimes the best players don't play in these tournaments for any number of reasons. Sometimes terrible teams squeak there way to finals because far better teams try to rely on the fact that they are better, and don't make the appropriate adjustments during the match so as to not jeopardize their rhythm and style of play as they move through the brackets. Lots of factors... but again, I have no idea.

I don't know if it's used anywhere else in such a way, but in volleyball, it's like saying 19:19... or if you said, "ten ooh" it is like saying 10:10. I know - it's pretty weird, but maybe it's only used in volleyball jargon.

What a great match ! However I can see that they are all very bad in reception... The service is always to the smallest guy... He must have a perfect reception and the tallest guy should smash in 2nd... Trust me the opposant will never ever send the first ball to the small guy anymore ! But as you can see they are all very bad in reception (maybe they are too tall to have that technic).

nah... they always serve to the smallest guy because he´s the one easiest to block... apparently. 2nd balls are hard to go because the player will never have a clear look at the opposition before hitting.

@@cazoulable to his credit though, both teams serve receive was pretty lack-luster. Thankfully both teams played pretty sloppy so it made for a decent match. I think he is overlooking the fact that they played countless sets to get to this point. Fatigue is a real beach
