Returned home today after a week in PDC. Last Wednesday I walked over 30k steps exploring 5th down to the Playa Animal Rescue and back along the beaches. Found the tree house on the beach. Enjoyed the vegan restaurants, yoga, and relaxed vibe there.

That’s so great to hear Linda! It’s incredible how easy it is to get those steps in when the scenery is so beautiful 😎🏝️. Thanks for supporting the channel and watching!

Hey! Thanks for the continued beach walks! So I've been listening to the The Richest Man in Babylon audio book as you have suggested and I love it! I researched the other book you had suggested, but decided to upload a Canadian version as I might relate a bit more. Anyway, enjoy life in Playa!

Hey! So glad you’re loving that audio book. It was a game-changer for me! I still think back to where I was when listening to that first chapter vs. where I am now. Crazy! Canadian version? Of Pat Dorsey’s book? I’d be interested to hear what you found. Thanks for your continued support of the channel @jijib7691!! All the best to you on your journey 🙏🏼

@theropemonster Thanks! It's not Pat's version, but someone who wrote something similar but references Bay St, which is basically the Canadian Wall St. It's called Beat the Bank by Larry Bates. Anyway, I also used to live (and work) in Playa and will be investing in condos for income property soon! Meanwhile, I'll live vicariously through you! 😎

Totally agree… my first three months here I didn’t even take a single taxi, colectivo, or bus!! Chevrolegs all day 😎

Good to have your girlfriend back with you ! She's very cute, is she Mexican ? Jordan at Tangerine Travels has a pretty wife too, lucky guys Sailing in very strong winds if thrilling but if you lose it, you end up in the water real fast I was sailing a Laser in the lagoon of Diego Garcia BIOT during a storm with another merchant mariner from NewOrleans -out of the yacht club. We were FLYING ALONG then got slammed by a huge wave and it dumped us both into the water The good thing is that the boat stopped dead in the water Since there are a lot of sharks in the lagoon, we crawled back on the boat , sheeted in and took off for shore. Very exillerating How many people do you know have a DIEGO GARCIA Yacht Club membership card ?

Haha that’s such an awesome story!!! Thanks so much for sharing and for checking out the video! Glad those sharks didn’t get you guys 😜. Plenty of Tiger and Bull sharks out here but they’re a ways out toward Cozumel off the coast… usually! And thanks, cute yes, Mexican, no. Yea Jordan at Tangerine Travels is killing it!! Was glad to see that they tied the knot and look so happy 😀

HEY, I don't know how you fly to Argentina and I was curious what would be the best way to fly to BR I see the BR airline GOL flys as Avianca through BOG 17hr flight $389, not bad I don't like LATAM, they are terrible here in BR, do fly GOL or AZUL Here is what I found Cancun > Ft Lauderdale Spirit $105 FLL to Recife (northern BR where I lived before) AZUL airlines $295 - good to explore (CHEAPEST FARE I'VE SEEN IN 20 YEARS, remember paying $1400 on American !) RECIFE is a historic place and has tons of very cheap restaurants ; Chinese, Steakhouses, Pizza etc Downtown we pay r$12 or $2.50, full buffet steakhouse churasco r$120 or $24 for both of us From there you can fly AZUL to any BR city pretty cheap, big hub for Azul is Campinas Sao Paulo, not a bad place to check out for a few days AZUL Then from there you can come to Floripa on AZUL, about 2h 20m hours $159 From Floripa FLN to Buenos Aires ON GOL airlines $128 2h 20m Pretty cheap to fly inside BR THAT WAY you can explore BR on the cheap and end up in BA And if you enter BR out of our summer (May-Sept) you can prob stay in a hotel or pousada for $20-30 a night. IN summer (Dec-Apr) hotels can cost you $100 a DAY, that is when all the wealthy Argentinians and Uruguayans come here for their summer vacations, they come to Floripa and Balneario Camboriu mostly here in the state of Santa Catarina kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIS2ameXhbNgidE kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5jGnGp_h92Hp68 kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqmlnomEm5xrpbs As you see in this video, the weather here can be violent and stormy at the drop of a hat, we say if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes, it will change ! ENJOY my neck of the woods !

Thanks for watching and your comment, my friend!! It seems all the best flights go through Bogotá. But I’m with you as far as avoiding Latam at all costs. I call them LaSCAM because of their bs hustle regarding baggage and how poorly they treat gringos (even those who are fluent in Spanish). Happy travels to you!

@@theropemonster Funny as hell ! I call them LA TAMPAX ! Not even good for one period ! I don't like LONG flights so prefer to break it up some and visit new places too

@@theropemonster Another idea ; go to BA settle in and fly back north to Floripa 1hr flight and check it out for week. Other VERY interesting cities near me worth visiting. You can rent by the month in Recife for $450 and here $300 or do weekly for $200 You'd like CURITIBA, BLUMENAU, FLORIPA, stay away from Porto Alegre, very dangerous. My friend was shot and killed there entering his apto.

@@theropemonster Yeah it was horrible news. POA is a dangerous city, lots of guns and drugs. My friend Rene warned me 20 years ago about trying to fight with someone with a gun and told me to be careful. He told me a story about one of his students who went to his car to go home and a guy came up and had a gun and wanted his sneakers. He refused and the guy shot him. In the end it happened to him. Very sad. Here in Floripa most of the people coming here are from Porto Alegre, escaping the area. However, there are some very nice European cities nearby ; Gramado, Novo Petropolis, Canela, Bento Goncalves, Caixas do Sul, Garibaldi. You'd swear you were in Germany or Italy. They actually speak German and Italian on the streets. Lots of wineries too PS- the area where a lot of Nazzis went after WW2
