This movie has been triggering for me to watch after losing my dad on New Years in 2022. Seeing the part when Victoria hugging Hillary one last time reminds me and my sisters that day when we were at the hospital saying our goodbyes to him.

Danced with my mom to this song at my wedding. 6 months ago she became an angel and this was played at her wake. It is still hard for me to listen to this and not break down. I miss her so much.

I showed my 13 year old daughter this movie for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I pre-warned her that it was sad... just after this scene as they’re driving away from the house, she uttered “that was sad” in a very croaky voice. She always tries to play hardball but this one got her.

I remember watchin this movie as a young boy with my mother n i gotta say saw it a few weeks ago n found myself still fightin back tears when this part comes on. Its quitw funny but i guess hearin this song reminds of my mother and grandmother and many other ppl i hold highly in my heart for being heroes to me as i grew. Knowin all the things we went thru i can say I'm grateful to them that I'm here n not a felon or drug addict

Thirty years later this still gets me. Especially when Victoria asks if she could bring her cat and Ceci says "you bring any old thing you want". That's how it was when my father died suddenly and we brought my mother to live with us. She asked if she could take her cat. Even though my husband hates cats, we swore we'd take care of her cat until it died (at age 19, six years after my mother passed).
