I have watched soooo many videos on bead weaving, peyote beading etc, out of the many different instructors there are only 3 or 4 that show clearly where to put the bead and needle and give very good instructions and not work so fast you can't really see whats going on. Some don't even speak, or explain the process. And others don't even get close enough and you can't see what they are doing, so all of those videos I only watch a couple of minutes and close it. But you are an exception, you explain clearly, and also give tips, and zoom in close enough to see what your doing. So needless to say you are my favorite person to watch. I'm actually starting to make the Native inspired peyote stitch fringe earrings and I love it. Please keep up the good work, I plan on making several of your projects including this one. God bless you.

I usually cover the back with another felt paper or faux leather to keep the entire work clean. And I usually use the transparent thread (cheaper at Walmart ). This video showed me more ways how to make use of this little beads. Requires a lot of patience and pricking but its worth it!🧡👍

Thank you so much for this tutorial. You have demystified (I kniw it's not a real word) making beaded bezels for cachabon pieces. Seeing it done makes it seem 'easy' for me to attempt now.

Thanks so much for this Manie. I have an amazing moonstone pendant that I bought at a Pow Wow years ago that is amazing. It flashes colour like crazy and people always compliment me on it. I bought some small oval moonstone cabs on Etsy quite a while ago with the intention of beading them for earrings. This vid is going to help me tremendously. You rock Manie !

I guess I am going to have to glue my flatback cabs then bead around them with 15 0s
@ManieMartinez
@ManieMartinez 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mukwah, You don't have to glue but it makes it much easier. You can even use Elmer's glue if you want, just about any glue will work. If you start with 15/0s you will not be able to go smaller to tighten up the top if you want that to happen. There are micro beads that are smaller but you have to use a size 13 or smaller needle. All mine peyote bezels start with 11/0 seed beads and downsize to 15/0 to tighten If you complete one please feel free to post a picture on my FB page. I would love to see it.

If your cab doesn't have a hole could you glue it to the backing or would the beads hold it in? What would you do and do you have a video that you use one without a hole?
@ManieMartinez
@ManieMartinez 5 жыл бұрын
Hello Holly, If your cab does not have a whole, and it has a flat back. you can glue it to the back as shown in another video. If you want to keep it in place with just beads you will have to go up the side and over the curve and a bit of the top to encase it enough to keep it in place with just the beads. It all depends on the look you want and what you are working with. I hope this helps some. Take care.

hello Mani, can you tell me if I have an odd shaped cab ( Im thinking of using some sea glass I found) is there are trick to make the beads lay tight to the stone?? do you have a video for this?
@ManieMartinez
@ManieMartinez 10 ай бұрын
There are a couple tricks. One start with bigger beads as close as you can, following the shape of the stone and then layer up {bead into the bead below} using a progressively smaller bead while pulling in until it pulls tight over the edge of the stone. This takes some skill and you may have to use the same size a couple of times until you get close to the top edge and then size down. Two you can glue down the glass and bead over. like a strap. some of the more 90 degree like edges. You can create patterns like in my edging video. The pattern or straps have to be beaded into the beads from the row around the stone. Sorry I don't have a video for that. Enjoy the journey!!

Just a heads up. With sea glass you will see the color background , or it will influence the color glass. You can use permanent markers to color the interfacing, let it dry and then glue down or embroidery the glass over that spot. Have fun!!
