i started doing clay crafts back in 2015. i learned through internet. i always felt there is no proper source to learn terracotta craft. either ppl who sell clay stuffs wont be available with much comfortable online shopping option or having any proper channel for communication for purchasing or teaching. but from day 1 Neha, when i start seeing yur videos i feel wow finally someone is doing it soooo professional. i stopped crafting for some reasons yet i feel so happy and calm just by watching your videos. i wish you achieve great heights and you deserve it❤️

I use different sized pen caps n almost all parts of a pen can be used to get equal sized beads ..n even cookie cutters are Better over pencaps coz most of d times d clay gets stuck inside d cap n we dot get equal size beads n moreover it disturbs d speed of d work .. so it’s good to use cookie cutters as they are open on either sides !! Hello! I am not sure of any home based methods and I don't recommend it either. Usually when clay burns, the other things present in it such as Sulphur, organic matter etc tend to also burn giving out fumes which isn't healthy to breathe. Especially if there is no proper ventilation. Also, the results aren't always reliable. You might get damages, the piece would be brittle, and the worst part is if it gets damaged in your customers hands. It's best if you get it done properly. If you live in Bangalore you could get it done here: clay-joy.business.site/

@@aryap30 it's a similar one. I don't use the same bottle for clay slip and glazes. It might contaminate the glazes. I think in India you can look for henna bottles. That works. I have three such bottles from which I keep one for clay slip and the other two I use for glazes. Once the underglaze has dried , I apply a clear glaze and fire it again at cone 04. that turns then into a glass like surface (same way how ceramic cups, plates etc are made). But these pieces have to be fired in an electric kiln at specific temperatures. Home based method won't work.

That ideally should not happen. If it does then it could be because the clay is way too wet or you may have to place the bead more gently. I usually spread the beads out to aid even drying. Never stack them one above the other. High chance of the shape getting distorted.
