I'm just getting back into beading, and boy I'm glad I have the patience of an oyster. I have been using the 8 pound test fireline fishing line and it doesn't tangle any more than the wildfire or beading fireline.
@beadaholique3 жыл бұрын
I'm not surprised, the fishing version is still great stuff. The beading version of FireLine is identical to the original Berkley FireLine for fishing. Berkley still makes that version, but they also make several other varieties now, which can make shopping for it at a bait shop a bit of a hunt. Beadsmith started distributing the original version to make it easy for beaders to find the original version and, I think, to make sure Berkley kept that manufacturing line going.
@mallorikerr40923 жыл бұрын
@@beadaholique I'm sure that's why but unfortunately it's the price for the yardage I don't like.
@beadaholique3 жыл бұрын
@@mallorikerr4092 For sure. If the fishing version is giving you what you need at the right price then it's the better deal for you. People worry that there's some big difference between the two, but really there isn't. It's all about availability and variety.
@mallorikerr40923 жыл бұрын
I'm trying out a different line from Berkley to see how it holds up. As a mom with a 2 year old boy, I'm not going to lie and say he doesn't pull lol. He will be my tester for bracelets and necklaces

I bought 2 types of fishing line to do beading only because the fishing line is very thin to be able to go through FeliCas a few times and because the test pounds is higher. I find that it does tangle easier. What is your opinion? Advice?

Is it better to use seed beads or delica beads for brick stitch?
@beadaholique4 жыл бұрын
We tend to prefer the classic Miyuki delicas, the cylindrical shape makes them sit together more snuggly. They're a little easier to work with that way, and patterns read more sharply with smaller gaps between the beads.

Thanks for this fantastic video with great, informative content! I just have a little request: If possible for next time to put the camera on a tripod. I am getting motion sick from watching because there is a lot of movement. Thanks!
@beadaholique2 жыл бұрын
So sorry about the motion sickness! We've tried several different techniques for stabilizing these live videos and unfortunately it's still difficult to get them looking smooth with the equipment we have, and keeping the camera on a tripod makes it difficult to see the work being done at the table. I'm hopefully that when we start these classes again we'll be able to invest in better equipment and strike the right balance to make them better for everyone.
