I love this technique! Just curious on how you do the silver hoop for the earring hook? I do a loop with beads then attach the hook but I like your way…seems more durable. Beautiful work by the way. ❤

I have this video saved, it's been awhile since I've done any beaded earrings, just wanted to refresh my memory on edging, but didn't expect this. I'm glad you made this video, Creator keeps us creating . :) May the cool winds blow in your hair and your feet walk upon a path of practicing principles. :)

Thank you for your help and video. You make so much sense using basic thread and since the bees wax is coating it, protecting and strengthening it. Of course I'm new to jewelry design; but God given sense in practicality. 😉 Anyway, I wondered if you could share wherever you found those wolves. I don't do First Nation type of jewelry; but they're beautiful. If you don't want to share that information; I understand as well. Sometimes, the supplies are some of the few things that set great jewelry sellers apart. Blessings to you and your family to be safe and well.

Could I do this edging with 11/0 seed beads? 😱 I love this edging! I’ve seen brick stitch edging and I wondered how it was done but this one looks just as amazing! I’m practicing flat beaded earrings by making clip ons for my daughter. (She loves them!) So I bought a ton of 11/0. 8mm centers lol

Question: What can bees wax be used for in beading?
@donnasanchez54844 жыл бұрын
How close should we cut around our pattern and when using small beads and no delicas should we go in between every one or two beads when edging?
@MelissaChilcotinChar4 жыл бұрын
I usually get close but, not too close. If you're edging this way, you want your edges tight so that see a lot of the work and not so much pellon(the stiff felt you bead on. I think if you're using smaller beads you shouldn't have to go in-between every single bead. Maybe every 2nd or 3rd. It's a lot of trial and error. I didn't learn this edging off the internet or from anywhere, I just stumbled onto it and only learned what it was after lol Thank you so much for watching. I hope I answered your questions ☺️

Question... when you go through the one bead and pull it up, it looks to work with leather because its a tad stretchy. Will this work with other backing like vinyl that doesn't have any give to it?
@MelissaChilcotinChar4 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the material. It probably wouldn't have as much give with anything stiff.
@mollypeplau35643 жыл бұрын
What did you use for the loop on top that the earring finding would attach to??
@MelissaChilcotinChar3 жыл бұрын
I think it's called an eye hook. You can find a small bag if them at your local hobby lobby in the state's or at Michael's here in Canada in the jewelry findings aisle ❤️
