Great tip. I'm curious about the modeling thickness after you rip it from the stock. I imagine somewhere around 5/16" ?

The thickness of the moulding will depend on the profile of the beading router bit you are using. Those router bits come in different sizes, and you'll cut your moulding to include the rounded profile as well as the relief area. Just set your table saw fence to include both, whatever that measurement might be.

Those are called "beading bits" and they come in various sizes. You can buy a three piece set in the common sizes.

We are remodeling our kitchen and our cabinets suppose to be inset door with beaded face frame, today our cabinet guy called said instate have beaded around the face going to put beaded around the doors and drawers,I don't have any experience about carpentry would you please tell me which is the right way to do it,because he's charging us for custom cabinets $$$$ and won't cheated.?

It's difficult to make judgements without seeing the problem in person, but it sounds suspect. A beaded face frame is just that--the bead detail is cut into the face frame. It will look like it does in my video, and this is considered the pinnacle of cabinet making. It's a traditional detail which goes back centuries. There is another bead style called "cock beading" which is a moulding applied to drawers but NOT doors. That style has the drawer slightly recessed in the opening and the bead around the drawer edge is even with the face frame. When this was used for the drawers, the doors would just be a simple inset. Possibly your cabinet maker is just cutting or applying a bead around the perimeter of the drawers and doors to mimic the real thing, which would be a shame. That would be cheating, really, and it wouldn't look right. You should ask some more questions and make certain you understand what you are getting. It's not out of line to ask for a small sample of the work or at least a photo.
