Never in my life have I found a beading tutorial where everything was so clear!!! Lets face it, beading is more complex than it looks, if you use the wrong size crimp, wrong size wire, etc. I was trying to make a barrette from another tutorial and it was a disaster. I cannot tell you how great Alisha is!!

I don’t usually comment on KZbin videos, but this tutorial was so helpful! I’ve never made a beaded barrette before, and made one using this tutorial with ease! The only tricky and finicky part was at the end finishing off with the crimps. Thank you so much for these clear and step-by step instructions!

Yes, Yes Please do more beaded barettes. I loved them. I made one with wire used for wire wrapping but I like how you did your barrettes better. Thanks for making such a good video. I understood all you said.

There is a difference in the wires you used & in this tutorial, the one used in the tutorial - multiple thin wires braided into one - have bcs of the braiding, more "bounce" in it, so it fills out better than "normal" wire that's used in wire wraping that will lay more flat and risk getting "wonky" when used in beadweaving. I bet that's why yours looks different & if you tried it with a braided wire, it will come out better! 😊 they are often called braided steel wire or tigertail wire! Should not be to hard to find in craft store or craft sections (if I've been able to get ahold of some, - have huge troubble to find proper materials bcs of where I live- you should too!)

Loved it. Would be interested in all kinds of hair decorations. Have grandkids. They love everything. Thanks again!!!! Hugs, Kitty

Awesome! This is my very first beading project. I love the detail you put into the video. I have always been intimidated by beading because the books were just pictures and I could not seem to follow, but I watched the first few minutes of this video and decided I would try since you detail so well. I did it. I did not have the exact match of beads, but i've always been good at improvising with other projects when I did not have exact supplies. It worked and I love the barrette. Took my Mom shopping today to craft stores to get after Christmas bargains and came home with some new supplies. I am hooked on learning this art. I would love to see more barrettes.

Beautiful barettes. I wonder how hard it will be to use Swarovski 6mm beads, Their holes are quite small. I would love to see more like this. Your directions were great. I'm wondering if it would be easier to do if you took the barette apart and just worked on the top or if it would wiggle all over the place. Thanks I can't wait to make one.
