Hi everyone! Here's a unique way to make a rope necklace using beads and chain. I'll be using beads from the Curated Bead Box for the month of September. The name of the box is "Let's Party". As you know the box was filled with multicolored beads. This tutorial will show you how to sew beads onto a chain for a gorgeous beaded rope design. If you don't subscribe to the Curated Bead Box, you can still make this project using beads from your own stash. Please check the list of materials down below.
The Curated Bead Box is a monthly subscription box that includes glass beads, gemstones, and charms or pendants, with unique color combinations and themes. The box is $20 a month including shipping. You can also buy previous boxes or a one-time box on CuratedBeadBox.com, if you don't want a monthly subscription. Here is a direct link to their bead box subscription: www.curatedbea.... If you sign up for a monthly subscription, please use coupon code LUISA35 for a 35% discount on your first box.

Hi Luisa. I don’t usually leave comments but I had to tell you that the excellence of your work and the quality of your videos are a gift to jewelry makers everywhere. There are some people who are a disaster with tools and design and whose work is messy and it’s difficult to be inspired by their videos. You have raised the bar! Thank you so much!

Luisa, you are so incredibly talented in so many areas, I can tell you love photography, your nature shots are gorgeous! You are also a very very talented artist, in so many areas. You are a person who is not afraid to expand your boundaries, you give it all a try! I really like that in a person, I too am a doer, I'm not afraid to try things at least once. This necklace shows one area of your talents, it's beautiful! I'm so glad you healed with no lasting complications and your back to making beautiful pieces and tutorials for us to watch, I look forward to them! You are also so easy to watch and I find you to be relaxing to watch, I never worry that your designs won't work, I have watched other you tubers make jewelry and it stresses me out, they try this and it doesn't work so they start over just to find the alternative doesn't work as well either. The thought and planning process you do is relaxing and rewarding, thank you for doing and being you! 💕

It's amazing how you gradually build up a design ... I was stressing watching you sew the beads onto the wobbly chain! Not sure if I could handle that process myself!! So intricate and elegant .. you have a wonderful eye for combining colors and shapes .. love it!!

Thank you Esperanza. Yes, the beginning is a bit tricky but you have to keep adding beads. It gets easier and the piece gains shape when it’s all filled in 🙂

WOW, Luisa, that was AMAZING to watch 🤩...such a fascinating technique & it looks so intricate...but you actually make it look fairly simple to accomplish! Prior to watching this, I thought the only ways to create a "rope" effect were either with kumihimo, or a spiral bead weaving technique, which I simply don't want to attempt, because of developing arthritis in my hands & failing eyesight. Sadly, at my age, I don't think I would really enjoy tiny seed bead weaving, as it just seems too "fiddly" for me...but it would never have occurred to me to use a piece of chain as a base for regular beads & larger seed beads...you're such a clever designer...and THANK YOU so much for sharing...it's something that I might even be able to find the courage (and PATIENCE) to try! Also, I'm so glad to see that you seem to be gaining more mobility in your wrist again...and especially happy to see that you're enjoying the last days of this summer out in the natural surroundings that you love so much! You really do have a knack for choosing beautiful music & filmography to back your tutorials...and we certainly appreciate it! Please take care, stay safe & be blessed, dear soul! 🤗🌹🙏
@MistyMoonDesigns
@MistyMoonDesigns 2 жыл бұрын
Oh thank you Terry for the lovely feedback and compliments 🥰. Yes, this technique is rather unique because the finished product is more random and organic compared to kumihimo which is more structured. I know what you mean about failing eyesight and arthritis…I suffer from the same. I don’t notice it so much when I’m making jewelry though. I think it’s because I get so focused and involved in the art. But anyway, this technique can be a little fiddly with the chain but it’s also very forgiving if you stick to it and fill in the spaces with beads 🙂

😂Thank you for sharing, this project was a bit tricky but you presented in a very doable way. I noticed after watching you for the last 4 years how you will often say the project is so cute or so adorable! Do those descriptions mean differently in Australia than in the United States? My observation of so many of your work is elegant, lovely or beautiful not really cute or adorable! I’m asking because I’m just curious not at all meant as a criticism!
@MistyMoonDesigns
@MistyMoonDesigns 2 ай бұрын
Lol…this project was actually very challenging! 😂 But a good way to use up odd beads. About my descriptive words…sometimes I downplay my designs. While I certainly strive to create pieces that are beautiful, I prefer to let others decide if they find my work beautiful or elegant. It’s a way for me to stay humble and avoid sounding like I’m bragging about my own creations. 🙂

Luisa would you do a tutorial on using string to "knot" beads together and create a bracelet or necklace? Like they do with pearls? I'm so curious about that technique .. but I have no experience with string or cord, bead tips, etc. I've watched a couple videos and it seems those pieces would have a nice soft drape. I'd love to hear your instruction and ideas on that technique. Thanks!
