What a GREAT instructor! It is one thing to be excellent with a subject. It is, however, quite a different thing to be not only excellent but able to convey knowledge to another. This is an example of Excellence in both! :)

I now know how to make the perfect loop. Boy was I way off in la-la land with mine. I inherited all of my daughter's jewelry making supplies and didn't want to get rid of them. I'll add some pretty things to my junk journals that I make and sell. Wahoo! Thanks so much!!

Thanks to your wonderful videos I just made my first allergy free set. Necklace, Ear rings and 4 bracelets. I even made my own loops and connected them myself. And I had so much fun making them. When you have an allergy to the alloy in metals its hard to find jewelry you can wear. Now I can make my own. Love your videos. Keep em up so I can get new ideas and learn new stuff.

I enjoyed the videos Perfecting the Wire Sprial, the Open and Closed Loop and the Basic Loops. I happen to have the Wubbers bail making pliers and the looping plier and it makes all 3 videos jobs much easier. For those that don't have them these were great videos. Easy to follow and very informative. Thank you.

LOL Thank you for making this video "slow" and with much information. I Subscribed, Liked and Added this to my projects. God Bless You! :D

Love these videos. That flush cutter you use is pricey. I just checked it out.
@beaducation
@beaducation 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it sure it. But it is completely worth it. Here are a few things to describe it's worth - it is made in the USA (in Northern California actually), the handles, the steel, everything is from USA. It's very precision made, that is what gets such a pointy tip and flush cut. If you are just starting out and don't want to invest, I can comfortably recommend this Xuron cutter. It's quite a bit less but still a great cutter. I will never recommend junky cutters because honestly you will just be replacing them in months and then that is money wasted - yuck! www.beaducation.com/p/21-jewelry-making-tools-xuron-tapered-flush-cutter?product_category=220-jewelry-making-tools-pliers-cutters Hope this helps :)

Great tutorial! I noticed that you may be using your Lindstrom pliers without the adjustable spring. Is this so? I have read both positive and negative comments about this adjustable spring. I have small hands and am trying to decide whether to buy Lindstrom RX pliers or Swanstrom Micro pliers. ( I own a pair of Tronex pliers and find them to be a bit too bulky) Although plier styles are a personal preference, can you offer some guidance based on your experience? Thank you.
@beaducation
@beaducation 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Karen! We love both the Lindstrom and Tronex pliers. If you feel that the Tronex are too heavy for you, you'll probably love the Lindstroms because they're light. The handle is plastic and foam which make it a very light weight plier. The adjustable spring is great too!

Is there a standard comparison between loop size and wire gauge? I enjoy the videos: they are full of valuable information.
@beaducation
@beaducation 6 жыл бұрын
No there really isn't. The one thing you gotta avoid though is making large loops with thin wire...ya know something like a 6mm loop with 22 gauge. Other than that, it's just strength and design that you need to consider.

What will happen if you make the bracelet with the copper wire? It may have stated in the video but I don't remember. Is the copper wire a lot softer or is it that it will discolor after time? Hope you have time to answer. Loved the video. I learned a lot.

You can certainly use copper wire. Make sure to use dead soft wire. Copper does tarnish.
