My baby (3yo) had ivdd - slip disc, it was so serious that she couldnt move her hind paws and had to go for surgery 3 days ago. Finally on the 3rd day she began to eat her food and I miss her so much because she's still at the vets

When I got my beagle (he was about 4 years old at the time, and had been a stray for some unknown period of time) I didn't know how to train him. But I did exactly the right thing for him. I took him for two one-hour walks per day in a big meadow where he could sniff the ground as much as he liked. And if he wanted to bark, i just let him bark! Now he is happy (seems to be natural for a beagle!) and loving. We enjoy every day together!

I have a beagle and just a tip when they are a puppy give them a routine of Wake up: give him breakfast and give him a bath 3 times a week will do and brush their teeth daily is best. 12-3PM give your puppy some snacks 3:30-4:30 they are energetic dogs so 1 and a half hours will do) after the walk give him some snacks and either play with him or train him stuff like hand shake and stuff or other things night: give him some dinner and hes ready for a new day ahead Edit: I'm not saying like forcing you to do this routine but it keeps by beagle puppy healthy (note: as they said make them eat 3 times after some time also for me its 1 hour and a half for my beagle I play fetch and train him so recommended routine)

@@kanishthsachar2270 I wouldn't. They are puppies, they don't know their rights from their wrongs. I would never bite them back. One, that fur goes in your mouth. 2, your supposed to be the leader not the sibling. Lay your hands really still and make them boring and make a high pitched noise. They will often stop I think. And give them a chew toy instead.

please when you take your beagle to the vet have there eye pressure checked, my beagle had to have there left eye removed because of glaucoma. PLEASE GET IT DONE HAVING THERE EYE REMOVED IS HARD AND PAINFUL

why do you have a dog when you are not willing to give it enough exercise and proper care? I walk 10 km with my dogs every day. you should have at least learned something about dogs before getting a dog. when your dog has health problems that you cannot solve take it to the vet.

Adriana Kuzmikova excuse me but ever since I was little I grew up with dogs so this is not my first time having her I didn’t even get her from a rescue I got her off the streets and for your information I do care for her I walk her sometimes I let her loose around the yard when I’m out there so I don’t know what your problem is I just asked a question that was it hack my first Dog that I grow up with was a Pomeranian and then a coonhound and now a beagle so you better chill out I’m only 19 still learning about dogs

@@Washburn-lo9xd owning dogs doesn't mean knowing dogs. read some books about dogs, articles, dog magazines, get training for your dog from certified trainer and when she has health problems take her to the vet. short answer for why your dog is running away is that she doesn't have enough exercise and proper care. tying her up is NOT a solution. you are hurting your dog by doing that. maybe consider giving her to a dog shelter.

This is definitely a difficult situation, and I am in no way certified, but there are points in people's lives where it's just not logistical to have a dog. Your financial issues honestly speak volumes. With that said, I don't want this message to come off as if I'm attacking you. It's totally your decision. I'm only talking about this because I've recently had to come to terms with the sad truth most teenagers who are moving out of the house face; I am not in the position to get a puppy. This is totally your choice, but perhaps consider giving the dog away in order to maybe stay afloat more effectively, given that you guys have so many pets. With that said, I wish you and your dog all the best!

They don’t do the hunting they are a type of hound and track and use scent they are trackers but it’s not like other dogs where they need to be used for hunting and it’s like wasted potential since not everyone goes beagling
