I'm considering the Z1 just to have a Zoomie in my collection. I am impressed by the SFT40 over the SST40. The SFT is in a smaller flashlight but appears to throw a bit farther. Thanks for the great comparison!

I saw a new Sofirn light on Ali. It's 4000lm xhp50b 21700. It's the IF23 . 6000k . Weird thing is its not on their website just on Ali for around $40. Have you seen it?

My thoughts on using the Z1 would be to stop about a half turn before the square beam , maximizing the hot spot and throw
