S3 becomes hot faster than S2+. Maximal temperature after long work is similar, but heat distribution is different. S3 becomes hot with whole body. S2+ mostly hot at lighting end. I believe S3 better tranfers heat from LED to externel side of body, because S2+ use brass pill. Brass transfers heat almost 2 time worse than aluminum, and 5 time worse than copper. So S2+ is more comfortable to use. But S3 is better for LED.

*A word to everyone:* The Convoy S2, the first one that mr. Weerapat showed, is not being produced anymore. But that long deep reflector can be found in the Convoy S6 and S8 hosts.

Good presentation as always. Thanks for the info. Currently building an all-around flashlight with 3030 or 4040 led. Will probably mount an NM1 or LH351D. Will go for 5⁰ TIR optics and S15 host. I wanted the S3 since it's easier to open, lighter and slightly shorter but I'm a bit worried with the thin stainless steel bezel that might crack when dropped so I went for S15 host. I'm confused with lighted switch. It says that it doesn't work with 8*7135 12 group drivers. So is lighted switch safe to use on 5A 12 group drivers? 🙂🙂🙂

Yes. The lighted switch can work with 5a driver sir. I also have mine in s2+. Thanks for watching sir 😊.

Do you know why the S2 in black and grey have a black rubber switch but the color bodys in red, orange, green etc have a strange small metal switch?

Nope, you cannot. The threads are not deep in the head enough for the pill to reach the TIR lens at the end. You can only use the S2 (now S6 and S8) with the reflector.
