I'm an environmental scientist and we use that dye often to track potential waste paths in bays and harbors, to study tidal flow for beach contamination, etc. Totally harmless stuff. Though terribly expensive so only used as needed.

4:10 Dane here wanting to clear the name of my fellow danish workers. They did not say that the guys demolishing the tower were drunk. "Stive" in danish is slang for drunk but mainly means "rigid". In this case it is clearly meant as rigid. So he is saying: "Remember we talked about those things beings too rigid". Makes way more sense and there were no news of drunk demolition men.

Watching that demolition of the towers reminds me of something my husband (a mechanic who works on giant earth movers for mining sites) says about vehicles: if the vehicle is moving after you set it up, you move out of the way, because you're NOT stopping it. So once that tower started falling in the wrong direction, my only thought was, "Well, no fixing that. If that's the way it's falling, that's the way it's falling."

It seems odd that they must shut off the water supply for the entire building. In Germany and Greece, there is a stopcock under each faucet and a central one for every apartment, allowing us to address a leak without disrupting the other residents.

I think this is more warrant for looking for any human-sized turtles with ninja gear in the sewers and maybe a similarly human-sized rat. Don't shoot them, though, they're good-guys. Most especially if they apparently have the names of Renaissance painters. That might make for an interesting follow-up video to this whole shot: "Ninja turtle sightings"...

I'm reminded of an incident, that everyone that knew of the place, assumed arson. The building in question was a heritage site. A pre-board of education building that was the gymnasium of an all boys school called the Hermitage. At the bottom of the hill was the all girl's school which is now a mason lodge. At the time of the fire an individual could see the flames flickering in the sky 10 km away. It was a real shame as it had hand-painted hardwood floors of red and blue lines that directed students to the change rooms. Years of sanding and varnish gave the floors a lacquered appearance. It went ablaze like a tinder box.

"Yep, and i told you they didn't, they were too drunk those guys" Edit, i made a huge mistake: " Yep, and i told you they were too rigid " it should say instead (reference to the tower) because " stive" means both drunk and rigid/stiff 🤦🏻‍♂️🫠😂 You're allowed to laugh at my expense 🙏🏻😂

19:10 I remember the situation when I rented a flat on the fifth floor and my tenant told me do not touch the tap on the pipe. The problem was that this pipe was leaking, but she told, that the plummer said - there is nothing he can do in this occassion, but never turn off this tap. I spent a half of a year there and then it was my mother's birthday so I went to other city just for two days to celebrate with her. It was the only time I left my flat, because I was overbusy with my job and had no time for rest. And then I came back there - the flat was covered with water. It appeared, that this pipe exploided, the water leaking down over all the floors till the null one. My neighbours didn't have my contacts - I didn't communicate much either because I didn't want to empose myself - and the contacts of my tenant too. They started to call the police, then the utility services turned off the water, as they told later, only on my flat. But the damage was done. I contacted to tenant immediately and she took my documents and keys and told, I should not leave this flat. I still feel very guilty, but I don't know, what should I do in this occassion. Again, she told me do not turn off or even touch the tap, because the pipe can explode. But it appeared to explode anyway. So bad, it was the only time, I left this flat, just because my mother had a birthday day and she was living in the other city. I was absent for just two days, but how bad it turned up for everyone. I was paying for every damage was done, but she didn't give me my documents till my mother came and forced her to do this. We called the plummer, he came and told, that it was very cheap pipe that had to be replaced to new one, that's why the tragedy happened. I also, bought the new pipe. I still feel sorry for neighbours who struggled because of me

Hi, it sounds like you're the tenant in this situation. The other person would be the landlord and it is their responsibility to make sure the flat is livable and usable, so should have looked into the leak well before it exploded. Nothing you should have to pay for or could have done, with exception of having contact with one of your neighbours incase of a similar incident or possible break-in. x:x

This one happened to my own house. Our fridge was leaking, so we called the plumber. Literally as the plumber was getting ready to walk out the door with the job finished, our boiler decided to evacuate its contents, all over the finished basement floor. We get that taken care of, which required the removal of the entire basement floor. Two days later, the boiler decides to evacuate its contents again, only this time it wasn't noticed for several hours.

Catastrophic event for me? Pepcon. I was in high school. Not even close to the explosion but we felt it at my school. My mom was at work across town and felt it. She sent my brother to come get me from school. I was taking a classmate to the nurse as she was having a panic attack and he was arguing with the principal, I ended up going home.

That video of it is incredible. Would’ve been very unnerving to feel/hear that.

19:03 I am a former plumber and working with the water mainline still on is the first sign to leave, press fitting works, but soldering is impossible, and screwing in a valve or such is also next to impossible. But I wouldn't put any blame on the plumber, he clearly tried to work against 3/4 bar (45-60 PSI) water jet.

About a month ago, I saw the mushroom cloud, when a fuel truck, carrying diesel hit the wall, where I-40 goes under I-30. I was in the military, but I never saw an explosion like that!

Most catastrophic for me was the 1994 Northridge Earthquake with the freeways coming down. Very scary
