In this video I take the nippers to check out Beaminster skatepark in Dorset. It’s a great spot for progression and there were plenty of thrills and spills.

For a bloke of my limited skill level and bottle that looks like the bowl of dreams. Great vid! Another manageable approach to spines that I used to do at the old Mount Hawk set up was approach to front side axle stall or 50 50 grind, then the easy backside axle stall in the other side. Yeeew🤙💥

What deck are you skating. I'm 35 being skating for a year. Looking to get a cruiser for bowls and trans. Would you recommend or stick with the 8.5 standard deck?

Many thanks for tuning in. I prefer a bigger deck so in this video I’m using a Jeff Kendall Reissue. I also ride the 9” Andy Anderson deck. I like the feel of a wider shaped board in pools, bowls etc but it’s all personal preference!!

Great video. My kids and your channel have been instrumental in me learning to skate. However, I was distracted during this video by the lack of helmet. It’s important to model good behavior for the youngsters.

Yeah, I always wear a helmet, but wasn’t really planning on doing much skating, mostly encouraging and running the taxi 😂 but point taken, helmet wearing will be stepped up !

@@JonBishopSkate i drove past it a couple times. one time with no skateboard when it was sunny, one time with skateboard when it was raining. third time will hopefully be lucky this summer. love your videos and great to see your kids ripping. they seemed really confident riding the park and concrete didnt seem to bother them. brave kids. bravo to you and your family of the bishop rippers. cant wait to see more park videos

@@romeisfallingagain yeah, the nippers are fully padded, the 187 kids are ace, and they wear padded Burton snowboard shorts too, hopefully mitigated the chance of any negative experiences early on?
