Even in a videogame, the older cars are tougher and take more abuse...amazing how even that aspect is realistic.

Are you referring to the cars here ? WRC/Group.N Rally cars are only 30-40 years old, both are also definitely styled after the later WRC creations, like Focus, Accent, C3. Race cars are generally safer then anything road, you can literally hit tire walls at 120mph+ and walk away with just minor scratches.

How do you get the dummy into the new vehicle Beamng added? I have the mod installed, theres no tab for additional modification on the FCV.

I have not updated the mod, I just added it. So it will be updated when I'm done with the mod, no date on that one.

Yay, you added the dummies! In this kind of car, the interior doesn't deform too much though, so you can't see them getting crushed, but still cool. It's probably the safest car yet

These Cherrier are pretty, tough I did a few head on crashes with the ETK 800 series at about 100mph, both stood up pretty well. As always crash cracking video 👍😁

The FCV cars are quite tough in their main backbone! On a side note, I am really surprised the 'Rapide' hubcaps on the light green Tograc took such a hard beating before coming off the wheels! When I get the car on the rolling pad for testing the ESC/TC systems, at least one of them will come off when being on the rolling pins trying to go up the pad so as to roll it forwards and get down!

I guess they are. And I think it all depends on how the forces affect the hubcaps.

@@CrashHard The bumpers and the suspension systems are quite fragile but the shell is quite the contrary, I would say! Yeah, I guess it all comes down to the forces and the way they're being asked on the car and on the wheels!

Yeah, I remember when the Piccolina first came out and it had many glitches in Jbeam, then it got improved a lot, I don't think the Bluebuck got any improved but this one sure will be

There were multiple people designing different aspects of the cars, as far as I know some guy called Alexandr from the developers team did the general shape, so you can thank him for that

Alexandr from BeamNG GMBH talked in great length about the design process on the dev blog at there web site. Fabian talked about the ABS, TCS, and ESC. and Adam talked about the Jbeam. I also assume everyone at Beam chipped in.
