BEAMS swapping my AE86. (How to)

I go into some detail on how to swap a 3sge beams into a ae86. Follow me in my trials and tribulations.
(EDIT) when I mention the different OEM Toyota oil filers that you can use on this engine I mixed them up. F2 is the short filter that resembles the one currently on my engine in this video. F1 is the longer larger capacity one I mention.

How is the torque converter removed from a 3sge engine? There is a metal plate that obstructs access to converter bolts.

ae86edrift the fuel pulsation damper is the factory one from the top of the fuel rail and I sourced all my AN fuel line fittings from my local speed shop.

Can you share link of the fittings you use? just want to make sure that I get the correct fittings.

I didn’t order them from a specific site as I went to a local speed shop and was able to get all fittings and fuel line needed but I can give you a itemized list of what I got to plumb the fuel system. I used all -6 AN push lock, ethanol safe fuel line and fittings. Around 10’ of push lock ethanol safe hose so that I’d have extra for emergency, only used around 5’ on car. From fuel filter to rail I used one 12x1.25/-6 adapter to a push lock -6 threaded fitting, fuel hose and then a -6 male/female threaded to 12mm banjo. I used the factory fuel pulsation damper to affix the banjo bolt to the fuel rail. From fuel rail to fuel pressure regulator I ran 12x1.25/-6 male/female fitting to push lock, fuel line to fuel pressure regulator. Then regulator to return line on chassis with a auto parts store universal ethanol safe fuel line.

Are you asking if you can run the factory pump from your chassis on the Beams or are you asking if you can run your factory chassis pump on the Beams?

Think if I got the 2inch spacer kit I would be able to keep power steering?

The spacer kit only changes where your engine sits in relation to the chassis not where it sits in relation to the steering rack&pinion. You can still run power steering. You’ll just have to cut the oil pan fins at the back near the bell housing to fit around the power steering rack.

Those motor mounts can fit the te72 right ? Meaning te72 has the same chassis as the ae86

Yes. But the trans one is different iirc. Xcessive has everything you need though. Or JSP.
