...the first tree is what we called flame tree in my country we called it cabalyero ...we also have that kind of bean fruit a little bit smaller than that one but same elongated round bean and had same texture inside...it is also edible we called it here Philippine golden shower,thanks for sharing...

lol... What you show first and what you have are different , in my country we have both.(C.A). the one you try is called CARAO and we use it to make juice, crack the whole thing, put it in water nd let it there for few hours, add sugar and ice , ready to drink.( discard the hard /wood Shel) we dont eat the seeds. is like tamarindo but different flavor.

I know this is off-topic, I moved here seven months ago from Arizona and now lived in Ho Chi Minh City for the past seven months I recently purchased some desert roses, I grew them very well in Arizona, but I do not understand the growing times here for them, would you be able to help me out, just give me a little bit of information for what is needed and a normal watering schedule for them.

Are Mimosa trees in the same family? They have similar leaves, produce beautiful flowers and brown seed pods about 4 or more inches long and they are VERY invasive (almost like Mint ) here in South Carolina zone 8. I didn't think the benefits of leaving it in my yard, apart from its stunning beauty, was enough to leave it so I had it cut down and the roots dug up. I still see baby Mimosa trees from seeds from old pods sprouting and wonder about them whenever I see them. Should I be letting them grow? Are the leaves edible?

Info online says the young leaves and flowers are edible, but I've never tried. Invasive trees are hard to remove unlike Dandelions. For this reason I would remove them personally.

Gooey part isn't fibrous. It was interesting to try, and I would have them again if they were around. I wouldn't purchase them.

HEY THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING…now i just want to go there ..everything looks so green and beautiful. Over here in sapporo hokkaido we have winter 6 months 3 of which are the coldest and everything is white. I wish we had such lovely fruit trees but in hokkaido the government do not allow fruit trees to grow on the road…& if one were to be seen the government would send an entire team to cut it down..that is so sad…& that is why I REALLY APPRECIATE THE LUSH LOVELY GREENERY THAT I HAVE SEEN…WISH I COULD LIVE THERE IN HEAVEN…BUT….IT IS KINDA HOT IN HEAVEN…WHAT A CONUNDRUM !@@! Haha It can get hot, but really I prefer the heat than cold. Hokkaido is really beautiful, would love to visit. It's ashamed you're not allowed to grow any fruit trees on the roads. I can see how it makes a big mess if you don't maintain it.

That on by the road side looks like "krishnochura". And the one you broke open, Ive seen that by the road as well. The bean is smaller and smells sweet. Dont know if that one is edible.

It does look like a Krishnochura. I haven't tried, but according to the lady it's also edible.

@@wendiland didn’t know it was edible. I can't seem to grow it properly. The plant grows to 4-5 inch and dies. 1 out of 10 is alive now. Don’t know if it will work this time.
