I just ordered some boxes today from the USPS website and for regional A and B boxes it says those items will be discontinued January 22, 2023. "Packages shipped using these boxes will be treated as weight and rate effective January 22. The recommended alterative is Priority Mail Cubic"

I work at UPS you can even ship it in a FED EX boxn (I usually see at least one or two a day) we don't care. UPS stores are franchises and have a deal with UPS. They have some autonomy setting there own hours and some store policies. If you need any more info let me know.

Possibly they may have been referring to the handle holes on the side of box. They should be always taped over. I always go to a UPS agent locations for drop offs.

Our UPS store says that you can use the moving boxes but they aren't considered "shipping boxes" so that any damage claims won't be paid for if there is any damage.

I sold a 89 piece dish ware set on Mercari last month. Buyer paid $165 in shipping to have UPS pack and ship the set. UPS marked it shipped the day I dropped it all off. Didn’t actually ship it until almost 2 weeks later.

I have never seen UPS rules about Home Depot boxes in Minnesota. But my store doesn’t like old labels crossed out, they want them totally removed

I have used Home Depot/Lowes boxes in a pinch, but as mentioned they are "moving" boxes. I have had to file several claims with UPS for damaged items and one of the photos required is the carton weight rating seal applied to shipping boxes. I am sure without the certification seal they will probably not pay the claim. This is not a plug for ULINE, but that is where I get my boxes and bubble wrap. I also use USPS Priority boxes whenever I can. On another note, I collect antique strongman items and this morning I clicked on an eBay listing and in the Recommended Similar listings was the Pam Anderson stickers, I had to laugh!

My ups told me once (out of many trips) that they don't accept them, then he said if he does accept it then it won't be covered if something goes wrong because it's a moving box not shipping box.

So I saw a person on a Facebook reseller group say that UPS refused their Home Depot box and it got traction so I think they were just trolling or something. My UPS said it’s 100% ok to use Home Depot boxes.

You will still be able to use the Regional boxes but you will have to go by weight and not 2lb for Reg A and 4lb for Reg B.

I just recently sent back a modem from Frontier and all I had to do was create a QR Code take the modem without a box to a UPS affiliated store . They scan the code on your phone and all you have to do at that point is to just leave it with them and they pack and ship ot for you. By the way Lonnie what kind of camera do you use ?

We ship our luggage when we go on vacation if we are flying with any airline other than southwest. It’s cheaper to ship the luggage I have a lock on the suitcases and they just go as is. With a label

Hey guys! Maybe you have covered it before, but why do you use the packing paper you have? I have been buying rolls of kraft paper. I last paid $0.0208 per square foot. Is yours less? I have my roll set on roll-top casters (like floating marbles). I know Lonnie would love more casters in his life! Maybe this could save you space, too?

The UPS store in my city is awful. Super expensive and surly staff. The stores are franchises, so service satisfaction is a crap shoot. 6:15 I drive the extra 2 miles and go to the actual UPS terminal. Low key and pleasant!

Absolutely not true. UPS will accept any boxes. Think about all the product boxes that just have a label on them. And 'ups store' is a franchise and must follow the corporate rules so this store should be reported because it could cost UPS some customers.

Yes we usually refund some or all of the shipping overage if they buy multiple things at once.
