Bear Archery Legit RTH Compound Bow set up

I hunted 4 years with a bear legit. first package I ever owned. I absolutely loved that bow its very accurate and very hard to beat pricewise for what you get. I probably shot a few thousand arrows out of that bow over the last few years and it always performed. one thing to keep an eye on though is those set screws for the draw length will loosen over time from the shock of shooting. I had mine fall out mid draw and the bow fell apart. Luckily nothing was damaged and the pro shop was able to throw another set screw in and put it all back together no harm no foul. once that deficiency was corrected it was rock solid I just got in the habit of checking those set screws prior to shooting. I eventually passed it down to my lady after I bought the mathews phase 4 and shes loved it ever since.

If you read the manual you should not go more than 2 turns on a lim at a time without going to the other lim and you turned it all 10 at one time.

With the blackout generally drawing pointing to sky means too much draw weight "If someone struggles to draw their bow back, forcing them to “sky-draw” or point their bow in unsafe directions, their poundage is likely too much."

Can I ask if you still recommend this particular bow? I am 40 and haven't shot a bow in a long time but am going to get one around/after Christmas and this looks right up my alley. I had a lot of difficulty pulling back 40lbs in my youth (which was the minimum for hunting, but I wasn't going to hunt anyway) so I really like the idea of being able to adjust it myself and build up the muscles and ability with practice. As I said I'm not really a hunter but want to be able to have the capability and of course it's good fun and exercise besides. Thanks for the video also.

I just bought one. I'm 38, 165lbs and 5'8". This bow its perfect for me to learn on. I started at about 35lbs to work on my form, I'm now at 45lb draw weight.

have you had a chance to look at the Adapt? I am unsure whether to get the Legit or the Adapt. I dont know if the extra cost with the adapt is just for the hunting public name on it

When he works on bows He puts them back to 100% factory spec and he was spend 4 to 5 hours on getting a bow absolutely perfect

I am sighting in my spot Hogg fast Eddie xl and I have it set on 20 yards on the sight tape. And rolled all the way down. I am shooting low .Do I have to drop the hole housing?
