Perfect video. I bought this bow second hand to get into archery. I learned lots from this video and you did not talk over my head or down to me at the same time. I love the bow for all the same reasons you mentioned in the video. Again Many thanks very informative...

I am a new archer and your video was very informative. I just bought this bow from a friend and so far I am loving it. I love the accuracy of this bow. On the down side it caused me to ruin one of my arrows and luminocks.......because I robin hooded it. Well not a full robin hood, but about as close as you can get with a carbon arrow and a field tip. Lol. Thank you for helping me learn more about my bow. Awesome video!

Hey Thanks a lot rsll510, I really appreciate the positive feedback...spent a lot of time making this one ;) I'm about 2 hours north of Toronto on the Bruce Peninsula...lots of nature and hunting out here. Been to Ottawa many times, great city! Just finished editing the third vid 5 minutes ago, currently rendering and then about two days to upload...lol...crazy slow upload speeds. Its a POV video on a Bow Hunting Warmup... ...lots more videos in the making, thanks for your support!

This was a great video brother.... I just picked up my first compound bow from a pawn shop which is a Bear Charge fully set up with all the trimmings for $170. Im a beginner at all of this so im super excited and cant wait to put it to use. All i have to do is pick up some arrows Thanks again for all the awesome info and take care...

Thanks Randy, You're gonna love the bow, it's so much fun. I would suggest you bring your bow with you when you go to pick up the arrows and have the person there help to make sure your draw lenght and weight are set properly for you as it will make the learning curve that much shorter! If you are looking for a cheap target, I just made mine out of a burlap type bag that was stuffed with plastic wrap, all free from a local Feed company looking to get rid of their plastic garbage...works great

hey rowsell4334, thanks, glad you liked the vid...I worried I was a bit long winded, but like you said, I feel like there is a lot to know, and wanted to cover everything. as for the 45-60lb adjustable weight, that's really strange, I've never heard of that anywhere, and I was doing a lot of additional reasearch while making the video, and everything I read again indicated only the 3 options, 40-50 / 50-60 and 60-70. If they are suggesting that you back of the 60lb to 45lbs, that sounds bad

Great Video! I bought a Charge at the end of 2011 and shoot it frequently. This bow, like most, are as accurate as the shooter. At 50 yds, it'll put every arrow into a cd size group (smaller actually). Don;t buy into all the hype of the 7-8-$1000 bows, Archery is all about practice. I chose this bow mainly due to it's short axle to axle. I mainly stillhunt, and need a bow thats small, light, and manuverable. Great Review and EXCELLENT bow.

Great to hear you love the bow too, I think it's awesome! Sorry for the late reply, I was away for the week Moose hunting... As I mentioned in Adjusting Draw Weight @ 11:26, the Bear Charge Manual says only 4 full rotations to drop the weight by 10 lbs, approx 2.5lbs per 360 deg revolution of the wrench.

Add string silencers! They really help with queting the bow down, I have a bear charge also. Epic bow :)

Greetings from Scotland. Very good video for someone that's just decided to swap a xbow for this compound. Although bowhunting's illegal in the UK [ahem!] I can't wait to get out & about with mine (a 40-50# version) which would be absolutely perfect should the powers that be ever allow bows to be used for the taking of game.... even though the country's almost overrun with rabbit, fox and roe deer. Great stuff..... eh? :)

yes they do the limbsaver string decellorator works!

hey man, awesome vid, I'm just getting into the compound bow scene and didn't realize how much shit you need to know. Anyway im over here in NS and just ordered the 2011 bear charge and says it's 45lb to 60lbs, and wandering if that seems right to you because every other compound bow seems to have a range of 10lbs in which you can adjust.

You know what you're talking about man. And I will say myself, this how is not meant for over 40 yards with deer, I can hit my bullseye almost every time at 40 but it's still really pushing it. In order for me to shoot 40 It's gonna have to be a once in a lifetime deer

Hey Guitarhero980, Sorry for the late reply, I was looking around to find the answer to your question, and so far I've come up with nothing! lol...pretty terrible answer for a guy who makes a 40 minute video of a bow and can't answer a simple question..heh Uh, I've looked at the bow closely and I don't even think there is anywhere to mount one other than the opposing side of where the arrow rest is, but then I'm not sure how you would mount an arrow rest. I will keep looking though!
