I (THINK) a brown bear, not really sure. I have to get back to that spot and check the bones. Many say they look human. Scary to think it may be one of the missing hikers but possible. I just had 6 guys join me on this weekends trek. It was in knee deep snow and cold. but we had a blast. I found two new mines and photographed a frozen water fall. video soon. Happy new year Larry

Just went up to santa cruz ca. With my wife and went up to henry cowell redwood state park. And all I could think of was that pharroah would absolutely love this place. I walked into a redwood that an early explorer had slept in that was a good 12 ft across inside and I could stand up in and put both arms out. It had squares cut out inside that I thought were shelves but turned out to be old windows that had grew over. Let me know if you have a instagram account and I could show you some pictures.

Is your way of finding cool places just drive and see a little turn off, and just go in and explore? Is that how you find the abandoned houses? thx. I was wondering if you find them in the map or find them just by driving. thx.
@PHARRAOH
@PHARRAOH 7 жыл бұрын
Yi-Tzai's Toy Review I had been seeing that turn off there for years decades as a matter of fact and always wondered if it used to be a trail, so I just went off and explored it. That particular day we explored about a dozen and the guy that was with me Dave , fell asleep at the wheel on the way down and totaled his Honda into the side of the cliff. He's lucky you didn't go the other way into oncoming traffic and shoot off the cliff.

Those cabins didnt burn down that long ago, i want to say early 2000s or late 90s. I remember looking at one of them in that cluster with my parents. It was for sale and they considered buying. luckily they didnt because a few years later they burnt down and the forest service will not permit rebuilding.

I hate to be mean to anyone, but any person that gets within 20 feet of a Wild bear is a total brainless fool, you seem like nice guys, but if that had thought you were threatening his meal or maybe if he had not had the meal, you might have been it, I've read of hunters and hikers that were farther than that from a Bear and been attacked and killed., just stupid.

I messaged back and forth with the guy, he really seems like a very nice person, and said he knew what he was doing and the danger, and was willing to accept anything that could happen, and I replied, but you have a family, what about them, apparently he just doesnt care if he gets killed and leaves his family without a husband and father, i've been around bears, I've been chased by a mother black bear in the Smokey Mnts. and they are much smaller and not usually as dangerous as a Grizzly or brown bear, and it scared us to death, and we ran for our lives, we were just hiking and saw the mother and her 2 cubs on a ridge on the other side of a small valley, she saw the 3 of us, and right then and there, made a full charge at us across the small valley, and she was closing very fast, we had climbed up a steep hill to get to the top on our side where we were standing, so we turned and ran, slid, slipped & fell down that hill as fast as we could, we stopped at the top and just growled and peered down at us and then turned and disappeared, nowhere as close as this guy came, I would never and will never go anywhere that close to any bear again, they can't be trusted under any circumstances, even the bear man, I forget his name, him and his girl friend were eaten alive by a Grizzly and he thought bears were his best friends, so it's just ignorant to go anywhere near them, it's there territory not ours.

I was wondering why that bear didn't take off the moment he saw you. A carcass certainly explained that! Our bear encounters go: Shelley sees a bear; tries to tell me; bear hears her and runs away before I get a decent look. Those pull tabs may have been at the bottom of the lake for many years, exposed now by the long drought. I remember people collecting them for scrap to fund guide dogs.

El Kabong too funny i hadn't heard that in years. beeee frigging careful around those bears. they can be very territorial and aggressive. that twenty feet you were away from him he can cover before you can even react. made my butt pucker.i think i recall a bunch of those cabins burnt down in a fire a long time ago and the forest service wouldn't allow them to be rebuilt.

When you were on top of the falls, I thought you could have at least demonstrated your cliff diving technique like they do down in Mexico. Or at least how the implants let you just float back down. Oh well there is always the next video! LOL

no problem, I enjoy hiking down to the San Gabriel Reservoir and fish there. One year we caught over 30 trout(15-18 inches) in one night.. Also caught big 9 pound catfish and my biggest bass out of there was 3.5 pounds. Great place to fish! Anyways, your videos are beyond entertaining. Keep it up! God Bless.

GOD BLESS YOU GUYS! And you're so lucky not to have been eaten by a bear, What an absolutely magical day. "You Just Gotta Look Where No-one Else Looks?!?!" Holy shit, you just gotta copyright that phrase before someone else uses it for the title of a book or a movie! Love the commentary, too. It's like you're not 'narrating to your audience;' more like you're talking to us like we're one of your buddies on the hike. BTW, how come the guy in the orange shirt just carries a guitar, or a water jug, or nothing?
