I'm 45 starting out 8 months in been a struggle had alopecia and dine zero beard care shaved it down to a number one to level it all out. Wrongest move beard grows at different rates on different areas of the face. Chin will be the quickest next side burns, cheeks then underneath behind the chin. Plus our hair curls so we lose true length!! When you see a brotha with a good beard believe dedication got him there !!

@RealMenGetItDone
@RealMenGetItDone 3 жыл бұрын
Make sure you sub fam, always doing vids from time to time. If your brand spanking new....I would use Scotch Porter. I think the biggest issue when you are just starting is finding products. I have a new vid with me using Scotch Porter and I have a discount code in there to save you some money. I would buy the beard oil and beard leave in conditioner if you dont want to spend a ton of money. In terms of a beard wash I would go to Walmart and buy Kirks Coconut Soap...its $4 and works well on black skin including your beard and won't dry it out. Last, you have to make sure you have a good wash routine as I mention in the vid. hope those tips help and let me know...good luck!

I appreciate that good information from this video. I also subscribed to your channel. My beard is coming along really good, I just get kind of impatient with the loose hairs while it's in the new growth mode, and I find myself clipping the wild hairs with some small barber shears. But altogether it's coming along.

You wash and condition, use oil and/or balm etc. I used to use plastic and/or metal, plastic and metal create static and knots as you use it on the hair, the static could cause you to over brush or over comb....feel me? Wood will help to evenly distribute product through the beard, won't use too much product, and give a nice woodsy smell.

Real Men Get It Done are u Having any issues with your beard overtime dry or brittle using the straightener a lot of beard Care KZbinrs say the beard straightener is bad for your hair health.. ur opinion is?
@RealMenGetItDone
@RealMenGetItDone 4 жыл бұрын
I've been using the straightener for several months, but not everyday. Even when I do use it I keep it on the lowest setting and do a quick run through just to help my brush and pick (beard is too long for a comb,lol). What I've learned is you have to take care of your beard at night especially. The times I would forget and get lazy (not washing and conditioning at night) is when my beard would start reverting back to dry and brittle. I make a point to lightly wash (not deep wash and conditioning) every night just like I showed in the video and put oil and conditioner in it. For me it works and stays soft. I was skeptical about the straightner I just think if your interested try and and figure out best it works for your beard type (hopefully you do have one or are about to grow one,lol). Thanks bro!

Black Tiger try to get your hand on some coconut soap. Keep your beard and regular wash routine separate. Gently use the coconut soap and wash your beard and face and then jump in the shower. Also don’t neglect using some type of oil and conditioning every time you have to wash it. Your beard needs that TLC!

Late to the party as usual. Just watched video and subscribed so much info and the beard is on point exactly where i wanna be. Im 61 days in and i seem to have hit a wall, beard is dry, brittle and split ends. Top cheek line that connects to mustache all the way to ear is the weakest not filling in like the rest. Currently using Shea Moisture line because it was in stock at local Walmart. Not working beard is tough, dry not conditioned or moisturized at all. My pops and my younger brotha have no problem growing beards im the odd man out. Need knowledge and help please.

Your on the right track...check out all my vids I have a little bit of everything to help. The biggest change I had was with my everyday routine. You have to get that down pack. Always wash your beard with cold water and I live by using Kirks coconut soap daily as it doesn't dry my beard. The shea butter could be ok, but I so like making my own beard oil and balm (have a vid for that too). While some of it is genetics in terms of length...I believe everyone can get a healthy beard no matter what. Keep checking in and let me know how your doing...good luck fam!

Ok I watched your video… I create beard oil, beard butters & currently working on a beard wash & conditioner! I would love for you to try my products. I wouldn’t suggest for you to put the beard oil over your face for most of the ingredients aren’t made for the face & could clog pores or may be the contributor factor of the darken skin above your beard line! I wouldn’t use the oils from the beauty supply store to refill your bottle either unless it’s 100% oil & not mixed with other oils it will never be the quality the brand you mentioning in your post is using! If you would like to try my products let me know I guarantee you will be happy

do you apply all those oil together? when i mix them it smells so bad.
@RealMenGetItDone
@RealMenGetItDone 3 жыл бұрын
Peter, I actually do lol...however it's okay if you have to find and create your own special sauce. The ones I have are very light in scent so I'm not overwhelmed. Maybe pick your 2 favorite scents and try them together...I don't think you can go wrong. The point is have a low cost alternative to keep the beard moisturized...good luck my friend!

How do you get more hair in the soul patch part?
@RealMenGetItDone
@RealMenGetItDone 4 жыл бұрын
I just never cut that area. It grows back too fast so I don't touch it and I don't let my barber touch it. Just slightly getting the hair off my lip is all!

Genetics....if you dont have hair follicles there, nothing will make the hair grow there.
@bigripk1084
@bigripk1084 4 жыл бұрын
dncrra actually your body naturally has these hair follicles. It depends how sensitive they are to testosterone. If you have the full beard without the soul patch. Chances are the soul patch will fill in in years to come, as a mans beard doesnt stop evolving until old age.
