i love this band .... i dont think to the traditional aspects much except to say that i have been around many native american and african pop / rock groups , and most lack that 'spark' this group has that spark in spades .... i believe that there is one musical director that really runs the show as far as composition .... i think it is the russian (looking) guy with the long hair ... (skull mask in this vid - as his 5string bass runs (not in this) are epic. and you often see him indirectly onscreen , being carried off by the music ..... i think there are 5 girls , and 4 guys in this group , and probably a russian rock band amongst the ranks

Group from Central Siberia (Russia). The OTYKEN group is Siberian natives from the composition of small peoples (Chulyms, Kets, Selkups, etc.) Tracks are released in Chulym, Khakass and Russian. There are just over 300 native speakers of the Chulym language left in the country. The artists sew their own costumes. Visually, these are traditional indigenous outfits. In appearance, the attributes of several Siberian tribes are presented at once. As for the tools, they are also partly made by ourselves, something has to be ordered.

You can set it to a particular rate in the KZbin settings. Instead of automatic set it to 480p or whatever. Unless you mean your camera. Not from Japan and also not metal. It's tribal dance music :) The Hu is metal. Otyken isn't.

Thanks for stopping in. It was my internet messing with the bit rate, and yah I believe I mentioned they were NE Asian, couldn't remember if it was Mongolia or Russia.

Throat singing is not unique to Mongolia. Many northern peoples of Russia are able to do this, as in this clip

I don't remember saying they were mongolian but if I did, I apologize. Note, the video doesn't say where they are from and I do know they're from Siberia. @VAVAKA61, скорее всего вы ошибаетесь (на счет Иркутска и Байкала). Так как я живу в Красноярске, как и ОТУКЕН (Тюхтетский район Красноярского края), видео скорее всего снимали на Красноярском водохранилище (за Красноярской ГЭС), так как места очень похожи. И да, на Байкале я так же был, там масштаб пейзажей совершенно иной. А группа просто ошеломляющая, гордость за земляков просто распирает.
