Captain Falcon is referencing the fact that Sonic and Knuckles are always fighting. The fact that Knuckles can’t guard the giant Chaos Emeralds and Sonic has to defeat Dr. Eggman to get it back.

*all these awesome references to the Sonic games* *final round is Master and Crazy Hand on Final Destination* And this is why Sakurai needed to put more bosses in the game. The Sonic 2 version of Death Egg Robot would have been awesome, or Egg Viper/Egg Dragoon.
