In Paper Mario 1, he also could be seen as possessed. So 2001 is anyway wrong (PM1 came out first time in Japan, in 2000).

Glohm bowser was the best fight in the whole game. The music after he got glohmed and the design was incredible. The only thing they could have done better is give bowser is own theme and then make a remix of it for the glohm fight.

Yeah that was one of my only issues with Brothership, they had a missed opportunity to give a lot of characters their own boss theme (like zokket)

Not posessed. He was just enhanced by Antasma's dream essence, in the same way Dreamy Luigi enhances Mario. Bowser was fully himself in that fight.

@@StrapodXY By definition, for someone to be possessed, they must be controlled by another, which isn't true in either scenario. Both Mario and Bowser are in full control of their faculties during that fight. They just have their partner as an energy power up, rather than an outside force.
