To be honest, I feel like Brothership's final boss was a step up from its predecessors. Instead of simply having 2 phases and that being it, this one had a minigame, a first phase OUTSIDE of the tree, and then another INSIDE, before 2 other "phases" that follow that. It feels like forced length but it's an interesting concept

Well, the Mario and Luigi series. Mario RPG and the paper mario series often had a different villain as a final boss. Also, the first two super mario land games had a different final boss, hell the second mario land game introduced freaking wario. If they were boring and lazy and just used bowser for that we would have never had any wario games, imagine what other cool characters we have missed out on because they just keep using BORING bowser over and over. Though he looked super dumb in super mario bros 1 and you just kept fighting his clones because of their laziness, he was a perfectly decent final boss for super mario bros 3 and finally looked like a villain instead of some large turtle that needs help. But there was honestly never any reason to include him super mario bros 3, ever since I beat him in super mario bros 3 I was like "I already did this why am I doing this again" instead of any sense of awesome climax, it makes no sense not to use different villains.

Hot take: Brothership has a more satisfying build up and climax than BiS does. Just to be clear, I do have the hot take as well that the BiS final boss isn’t as great as people make it out to be. It just shows how neglected bowser’s side of the story was neglected. Dark bowser is a pushover that needed a buff to attack a minimum of twice per turn in the remake due to being so easy to one shot, literally only doing one attack, counter attacking you once you defeat him, punch, vacuum. Done. Mario and Luigi will kill dark Fawful extremely easy if you are decent with magic mirror. Both bosses get almost no attacks in by the time they are killed. It could legit only take 3 total turns to beat BiS final boss excluding the turns you need to punch dark Fawful and vacuum him. And I don’t mean a build where I only build power. I’m speaking as someone who don’t even use beans until I want to go challenge the secret boss and put my points in different stats each time, and replayed ever Mario RPG before brothership. To me the difficulty wasn’t there while the atmosphere and music was perfect. Reclusa boss fight was very well built up in terms of stakes, atmosphere, and the themes behind the fight.

That honestly makes the new one very refreshing which is a good thing. Bowser had character development during the rpg games and I’m glad they respected it

@ well they could have had it so that there was like an alternate form of Bowser like with Bowser’s Inside Story, or have him possessed like in Superstar Saga and Partner’s In Time, but yeah you’re right about the character development

@@RenardioMFG I found Glohm Bowser easier than Reclusa personally. Zokket was definitely the hardest for me though, he easily had the hardest attack patterns to avoid for me.

というよりラスボスにクッパが出てこないのはブラザーシップが初めてか，，今回のラスボス繋がりを絶つに重点を置いてるような感じだから繋がりを実は大事にしているクッパをラスボスには出来なかったか
