I love this barbers delivery. Like a perfectionist with hair. Explains everything, can't always hear... but you're an excellent barber dude...like watching one of my fav clay sculptors. 👌👌 Music on the other hand sucks, very annoying. Just a heads up for future videos. Second guy went from looking like an older man who drives a van to a handsome Harley rider.👌

Why is it that beards and mustaches always grow a different color?? Like the gentlemen with the red beard. I have dark brown hair with an almost blonde/light brown goatee beard stash combo going on, and I’m Mexican Lol! I’ve always wondered that…And by the way your skills are top notch bro💪🏽🥊

With absolutely every snip of those thinning shears, a piece of me does, while the fight off the imminent PTSD episode. Let me try this one more time: DO NOT USE THINNING SHEARS ON HAIR OF THAT TEXTURE. I’m not a barber or a stylist, but I love hair, mine especially. However, when I see someone with similar texture to mine, which is generally straight hair, usually fine to medium thickness, I cringe at the thought of thinning shears; and this if from the experience of having barbers absolutely butcher my hair by not just using them to help connect the fade to the top (even though a solid technique of clipper/scissor over comb will suffice), but going trigger happy a la the first barber all over the top of this poor guy’s head - luckily, he’s a guy and maintains a shorter cut. Based on his epic beard, general coverage and rule of thumb on regrowth, the completely ravaged and shredded ends of his hair should have grown out long enough to clip off and revert back to a clean cut end, and a NEW BARBER. You hear it all the time - I’m just doing this to remove bulk. I’m doing this to remove weight. NO, you’re doing neither. Other than the aforementioned shredding of the strand, you are taking someone with already fine hair, usually exacerbated when wet, and exposing more and more of their scalp with every cut, to the point where they *knock on wood* resemble some form of patient who may be somewhat ill, let’s just say that. Those excuses are lazy, and as a trained professional providing a service, which I can guarantee is not cheap, you should take the time to create the cut that the customer is looking for, and provide recommendations on desired results that day and in the long term using your expertise. That’s what sets apart good from great barbers, truly help us guys maintain our self esteem and is the ultimate reason that when we find a barber we can trust, it takes hell or high water to switch. Same reason athletes and celebs will fly their barber out private for an emergency cut for a last minute engagement - that is a bit much! Anyways, as I said, I’m not an expert, but I’ve been there and done that, so absolutely destroying the solid structure of someone’s hair to create a style that you claim falls more easy is a load of crap. It falls easy because you absolutely robbed it of its volume and now it just remains flat and lifeless, until the new hair gets there. You style his hair for a day every few weeks, he has to live with it everyday. And the first he gets out of the shower and takes a peek into the mirror, hopefully not under those most bright LED lights and almost faints because he can see his entire pasty white scalp visible from a butchered cut, I’m pretty sure he will be sourcing a new barber ASAP. As for customers, never be afraid to tell the barber not just what to do, but also not what not to do. It’s your hair, not theirs…so they can shred their ends all they want, just don’t touch mine. #DrusViewz
