I loved the stubble look. I met my husband when he didn’t have any facial hair and over the 25 years we’ve been married, he’s been slowly growing out his beard and it drives me nuts. My dad had his moustache unintentionally shaven off at a barbershop. I was waiting for him at the car and this random man walks up, this was my exact reaction. My dad has always worn a moustache, I had never seen him clean shaven in my at-the-time 23 years of life, it was a weird experience. My moms reaction was priceless as well.

I grew facial hair 25 years ago, end of the 90's, and in the UK I stuck out like a sore thumb. Everyone was clean cut, and I would get a lot of flak over it, mostly people thinking I was French (the irony is I moved to France years later). Thankfully, now so many men have facial hair, I can totally blend in. :)

I just shaved mine off after a long time, it was big, bushy, and mostly grey. My mom asked me to do it. Reasonable request, doesn't hurt me any, and she's not going to be around much longer, so why wouldn't I do it? I look 10 years younger, and going into summer my face won't itch as much.
