Honestly as someone with vr, it is the renaissance of our time, gaming as a whole and especially vr, this isn’t like 2019 the immersion and casual user friendly mind blowing awesomeness is all here at an affordable price , no computer required , buy a console and go, play it in the woods if you want zero accessories or set up , I can whole heartedly in good faith assure you this is a good jumping on point , as you say; batman the official Arkham title ,metro, behemoth, but there is also: iron man, assassins creed hitman pokemon resident evil four in all it’s glory plus others, black ops zombies (it’s a mod on contractors but it’s perfect 1:1 with the original voice lines and perks etc, go run around kino der toten in first person as Dempsey , or nacht der untoten or play star wars battlefront with the ships and sabres all faithfully recreated ) blade and sorcery full release is almost like a full dive vr anime in real life, except less cringe and sus on stand alone quest and it’s amazing Honestly I cannot endorse it enough, you’ve got attack on Titan and other anime games that are actually some of the best ,and literally every thing inbetween you can imagine possibly imagine it to mention nsfw , you can link it to game pass and and use it as a screed like having a 3D cinema in your house for gaming or movies , use a controller if you want even , the online community is generally less diabolical too people are nice and happy and excited to be there it’s not all angry 12 year olds or sweats from cod lobbies you can actually meet celebs and streamers or just explore virtual space yourself or with friends which is a whole different experience like being in the room with them , I can’t describe what it’s like to see first hand some of the most basic stuff, nearly forgotten genres with all new perspectives become actually engaging , keeps you moving more than just consoles too but it’s not like playing wii it’s responsive and accurate enough to have fun doing the things you always wished you could in virtual space, climbing up crevices in the wall to get somewhere ,accurate blind fire human shields physics based sword and magic combat in first person .. as with the shooting , swing around a virtual city or Mod whatever specific scenario you want into any game you want wish more people knew how worth it it is right now, and only getting better consistently .

With a computer? It can literally be “ready player one” in near entirety you can play fallout and Skyrim and all the big names with or without mods , just think about that , imagine, it’s fuckin wild my dude .

Absolutely gonna watch the movies again after watching this; Best intro ever btw and great interview My only small compliant would be the obnoxious xp values and health bars (maybe there's an option to turn them off) Also it would be incredibly fun if the bug corpses stayed longer before disappearing because its satisfying to take a look at all the bug corpses you just killed. And finally, it would be cool to have a body as an option, instead of floating hands, in order to be able to see your own equipment

Since i watched the movie i was hyped for every Starship troopers game. But flat games catches me no more since a few years. VR and shooters are such a great Combo. And now i can't wait to shoot some Bugs in VR. 😍

But I kind of felt it underwhelming, but I guess is about balance, would be impossible if you got overrun with bugs. I just thought it would be awesome to at least live it. And.... I'd buy this if they removed the XP and HEALTH BARS on the bugs!!... That's such an arcady, immersion-breaking choice. Please reconsider--either reduce the size, OR remove them all together... The health bar actually kills TENSION when you're in a firefight.... Please for the love of Casper Van Dien, reconsider!!! Thanks!! Beardo--back me up here!

This was the first Rated R film I could get into under age. I was 15, and my friend who drove us to the movie was too short to be believable an get us all tickets. But because I looked 20, being 15 but 6'5 in height, I was able to save the day and get everyone tickets to this AMAIZING movie for its day. This movie has a special place in my heart. I hope the game is decent.

Looks pretty decent actually. The life bar and hit point numbers look distractingly huge on the enemies. I hope we can adjust that.

That's very cool to see you guys on chat with Casper. Shame we didn't get to see any gameplay with him involved though. I love how open and enthusiastic he is about the game and franchise, which has been a favorite of mine as well. His character definitely should have been with Dizzy instead of her dying. The satire in the first film might have went over most heads, but I saw it. Not a major fan of the rudimentary graphics to the VR game though. Considering how amazing "Metro Awakening" and "Batman: Arkham Shadow" looks, as well as "Arizona Sunshine 2" and various other titles, I don't see why this game couldn't be more realistic in visuals instead of the animated look. Nonetheless, it looks like a lot of fun to be had with players who have the headset.

Whilst it doesn’t have the scale of the flat game, I actually prefer the way the bugs move in this version and that the humans actually run at the speed of a human. The flat game is too fast paced, it would be way better if it was at the same pace as Helldivers. Hopefully this game gives an option to turn off hit numbers as well.

A cautionary tale for current and prospective Meta Quest VR headset owners: I'm now on day 30 of Meta holding my Quest headsets hostage. I've been using Oculus/Quest devices from the day they started making them (10 years ago?), and I have not been required to give my date of birth to Meta in all this time. But they recently demanded my DOB under threat of disabling my Quests, and they made good on that threat 30 days ago. Meta can metaphorically brick your headsets, any time they want, and for any reason they want, and you will have no defense against it. Conclusion: Think carefully before you BUY anything from Meta; The thing you BUY will not be yours.
