This is truth. I know from personal experience. Hair is essential.

I have noticed the same thing! Also, I feel having a beard gives me more room to express myself without anyone questioning my manhood. I could wear a pink tutu if I wanted to and I'd still be the manliest dude around. Because I have so much room for expression, I feel as if I also have a lot of room for self-exploration, getting to know myself helps me in getting to know others which can be interpreted as becoming more sensitive.

This is very true. I made the mistake of shaving my beard off last spring. I immediately noticed a loss in spacial awareness. Since I grew it back, I have more of a sense of what is going on around me, and my stress levels have decreased.

Thank you for this video! Been getting a lot of pressure from family to shave or at least trim my pretty well kept and clean approx. 3 month beard. The biggest pressure was a matter of respect in older asian communities, My dad kept explaining that its not the beard that is bad, but because we have one, it allows for others to perceive and assume negative things about us and in turn create more negativity in the world with this ongoing cycle of judging that our beards and not normal styles make

This is truth. I've also found that pulling on it gets my brain working a little better. And not just the way people have their little nuances when they're thinking but actually it is the same because that's the reason people do these things when they're in thought without even realizing it. So I looked it up and it's the science behind trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder) , apparently it actually releases dopamine to the brain. The same concept as the way people inflict minor pain for pleasure (dripping hot candle wax, flogging, hair pulling, etc). If you have a long beard and still don't believe, try tying it up REAL tight all day. Tight enough so that it feels like it's being pulled. All day. You'll see

Hi again MIchael, just want to say I think your words on us bearded dudes sticking together and not being discouraged are important. Like the guy who's posted who is having comments from some family members about his beard, I took have some pressure to shave from mine. But I love it and so does my wife, it's now four months in and I can't wait to see how it turns out. How have you responded to negative comments, Michael? PS your beard looks more awesome every video!

Thank you so much. My wife likes what my beard brings out in me, and she is also on board in my exploration of what beards actually could be doing for us. She also finds it quite attractive. I think that she has grown to love it. She didn't like it so much in the beginning. I think it became the way she saw me, and now she begs me to never shave it.

I love your videos, Michael! Before I shaved my four month beard last year, I could definitely tell differences in my personality. I was more receptive to others' opinions, my blood pressure rarely ever shot up, my anger was well controlled, and I was very much in touch with my emotions and thought process. Because of that and I feel I really need to in order to better myself, I'm growing a yeard. :) It's only been about a week and a half, but the beard is actually coming in quicker than it did before. Because I'm only 20, I won't be short on looks from others, but my family is VERY supportive with me on this endeavor and is going to make my journey THAT much easier and even more enjoyable. Having you and Eric Bandholz from BeardBrand are very inspirational, and I'll do my part to share the kindness and help you give to others who are curious about the bearded lifestyle. Have a great night, Michael! Cheers!

This man is telling you guys the truth. If you don't belive, then you must check for yourself. I have also become aware of this, their is really something to this. After growing it for a while I shaved it to see if I could feel any difference and right away I felt the difference, I felt less aware, I think their really is more to why we can grow a beard. I also cut off all my hair after growing it for a while and noticed the same thing, I think it is both the beard and hair. Thanks for posting this video brother, hopefully more people will become aware. Maybe this is why the system we live in is set up to convince us to cut our hair and beards, because if we don't we begin to wake up.

Truth: The world is vibration. So are you. So is everything you can't and can see. Sounds, colour, waves, science, physics, biology, humans, animals. We are all one vibration. And the thing that made us, want's us to feel the vibration. Can you feel me?... Can you feel me now? THEN Grow a beard, if you can.

@eflip1 I agree that women should keep their hair long. I really think that it adds to their feminine beauty and are somehow necessary for their health emotionally.

Thanks for the response. The last time I shaved my beard, I regretted it. Most people seem to react positively to beards, at least for now. I am currently single, so that part of it isn't an issue haha! In the Bible, God told the men of Israel not to shave, so I'm sure there are many good reasons and benefits, both physically and emotionally, for men to grow beards.

Well, Samson in the Old Testament received his strength from his hair. When Delilah cut it off, his strength went with it. I knowsome do not believe in scripture, but I do. What we believe in can become true for us. I just started growing, and amazing things have happened since. Odd, but true. And the changes came before I watched any of these videos. I think there might be something to it.

Byron, yes my new friend, there is something to it. What it is, I do not know, but I believe if it were not true, the scriptures in Our Holy Bible would have told us so. Jesus said Himself about the Kingdom of Heaven and what His Father has ready for us...."If it were not so, I would have told you". I believe Him. I also believe man should appear as man and woman should appear as woman. God made each of us as He designed us. Man shall not change His design without experiencing His anger.

Most of my close friends and family don't like it, but want me to look like them. Occasionally they tell me that they would grow one if they could. Which usually means that they are afraid to try or don't like their beard.

2jayinthedxb Thanks! I once was negative to others about their big beard too. I get it. When you see someone different, you don't understand and make comments and questions that sometimes come out more negative than you thought. Sometimes you bash someone for being different, but then regret it later. Don't get me wrong it hurts to get negativity, but I try to remember how I have been to others and understand where they are coming from. It doesn't take away from what I think of beards.

If being a man with a beard gives off negative things about us then, let it be that way. We bearded must stick together and continue to respect other opinions, but not let ourselves be discouraged about the way that we are made.
