Usually with final songs like this I feel that they slightly overstay their welcome. However, the way vulture makes a hard cut and then drifts away with that uncertain outro is just perfect ❤

This is definitely the highlight of the album for me. There's something about the sense of dread that builds up throughout the song until the explosion that is the finale. It feels completely cathartic.

Vulture is for sure the song that hit closest to home in a personal way, definitely one for all my "recovering catholic" homies. Magnificent ending to the album, it's climactic, it's powerful, it's beautiful, love it. 10/10 will be screaming at the top of my lungs again

You know, I think it's fairly common to find a song that captivates your mind. Lots of songs are meant to be catchy, creative, interesting in their own ways. Singing about experiences many can relate to so they can remember good times. What isn't as common, I think, is a song that well and truly captivates the heart. One that goes for a less universal experience, and cuts deep into those who have lived it. One that isn't afraid to scream about how unfair this life is, one that begs not for mercy but for an ending to it all. One that isn't afraid to, quite literally, scream "F*ck this" and go for the throat against the perpetrator. This song is for victims. This song is for the suffering. This song is for those who have given up escape, or are on the cusp of it. This song has captivated my very SOUL. And I'll always, always, always come back to it when I feel hopeless. I yearn for the day I won't understand the lyrics of this song anymore, but that may never happen. This life is a part of who I am, but I will not let it define me. Thank you for seeing us, Bear Ghost. Thank you for such a beautiful and heartbreaking piece.

I got introduced to this band by a friend and I’ve been going through everything and Vulture (right next to Barbecue) has to be one of my fav songs because it just feels so impactful. You can feel the frustration, the rage, the DESPERATION in the song. I’m not sure how but this song managed to capture all my feelings relating to religious trauma I have and it’s so impactful. The lyrics hit like a truck and by god I’ll let that truck run over me as many times as it needs because I’ve never seen lyrics so impactful in this sense before. Amazing, amazing work

When I listened to this song for the first time, I had just gotten out of a relationship. It ended amicably at first, but somehow the tension between us built and it ended up in a nasty severing. I was determined to listen to all of your music, but when I came across this song, it stirred up those hurt feelings. It describes this person kind of how my ex was trying to portray me. I was devastated and I decided never to listen to it again. Joke's on me. I listened to it when I was over it and I love it! It's a great song. It's been on repeat for the past thirty minutes.

god this song is so raw. i first listened to it on a long car trip and when i finally got to this one i wasn't paying too much attention, still living in the glow of the other songs but then it HIT ME. and GOD DID IT HIT HARD. never ever thought id sob violently to a bear ghost song of all things, but GEE DID I. the final screams and just.. wow. amazingly orchestrated by the whole lot of you, i've listened to it well over 45 times now in a row, and i haven't gotten sick one. Jiminy is an absolutely amazing album.

When I first listened to this song something in me just clicked. I like to think this is a song about blind following and is about someone who goes throughout life following someone else's path and ends up losing themselves and starts to ultimately question did I make the right decisions up to this point? Really reflecting on the decisions they made before they die. In a really beautiful way I think what this song is kinda trying to say is "losing yourself or losing your uniqueness is the same as dying." and the way that is being told is through the example of religion. Because what makes you, you is your uniqueness. Anyways that's at least my interpretation of the song. Loved this album and can't stop listening to it. Thank you Bear Ghost.

This song is breathtaking taking in such a painful and beautiful way, it’s one of those rare songs that makes me completely forget everything in life and completely focus on the story of the song and the emotion of the vocals. And the outro is so beautifully uncertain leaving you with a feeling of wonder over what you had just listened to. Thank you for this album it’s meant so much to me since it came out, I can’t stop playing it. I’m so hyped for the future of bear ghost!! 👻🧸

Vulture has to be my favourite song of not just the entire album (close second to Sirens/Starkiller), but from both albums. I love the contrast of vulture from the rest of the album, and the way it just cohesively wraps things up from top down is absolutely incredible. The part that particularly gets me the most is the 'F**k your hallelujah', especially after that beautiful verse and building up from the repeating of 'watch them burn' while they're trying to proselytize the youth.... I'm not afraid to say that since the album has come out, Vulture has been the one song I'll listen to on repeat when I'm feeling that pressure to become something I'm not. Y'all did an incredible job with this album and welcomed us back into the folds of adventure. Thank you for staying truly weird on this ball we call our homes 💚🩷

I've just found out you guys have this channel and I genuinely want you to know how much of an inspiration your music has been to me. It started with necromancin dancin just being a bop but the more I listened to your songs the more they felt like they could describe heavy feelings I've felt for a long time. (Particularly this one and Sirens have touched my soul.) You guys are amazing and have helped at least me through some very tough times with a style I can only say confidently that I love. You've also been a major inspiration to pick up some instruments so thank you for that too. 👍

Hearing the outro on this video makes me wanna ask, are there plans to release an instrumental version of this album? It’s always interesting to hear music without vocals, at least to me. The Dotab instrumental comes to mind instantly, I do love that song with or without vocals, and I know a lot of songs on Jiminy in particular have a LOT of stuff going on, so it would definitely be interesting to hear instrumentals of those songs in full, instead of snippets of an instrumental on these breakdowns. Either way, loved this series, gives a lot of insight into the making of these songs, and I’ve loved learning about each of these songs! Thanks for doing this, love you guys

Absolutely wonderful way to end off the wild ride of an album that was Jiminy. I loved this album, with songs that I could relate too like Sirens, songs that made me laugh like Rivers and Peas and Love, and songs that hit hard like Vulture. It really is a great experience to listen too and one that I would recommend whole heartedly to anyone. Now to just sit back and wait for that next album release in 2030! for real though, keep up the good work and cant wait to see what you all come up with next

This song was just such a standout on the playlist. I love mixing it with Nine Inch Nails because of the topics in the songs themselves. I remember when this album dropped on Spotify and I would listen to it over and over again. All of the songs on the album are so good but then Vulture- it’s a show stopping number. Every part of this song oozes with resentment, and such a subtle amount of anger. When this song comes on, I put my everything into singing along like it’s a performance. It’s a perfect track on an absolutely amazing album. If I wasn’t already watching Bearghost I would be looking out for them!

Prelude i found had too little lyrcis to really hit the mark, while it has a very similar atmospheric feeling it didnt have the story or structure to give the same feeling as vulture. But my god does Vulture do it well. When i first heard the finale of the song i felt decieved, while I myself havent grown up in a particularly religious background, the country i live in had a civil war that meant my parents would be checking for bombs, contantly scared, and move out of town. Because of this most people like myself who havent experienced it but heard about it live in fear of it, and this song had me worried all the way through, until the end. The main thing to me is the f- bomb at the end, for a mostly swear free album it made it feel just that more unique

To Andrew, hard disagree on how well Prelude ended up as it's on piece of music. It's probably the song on Blasterpiece that stuck with me the longest, especially the latter half when it's purely instrumental. It really fires up my imagination.
