To my understanding, the proposed site is on a parking lot a couple hundred yards south of the current Soldier Field.

To all you "NAYSAYERS" about a Chicago Bears Domed Stadium on the Lakefront and all you out there hoping and praying for Arlington Heights... C'MON NOW !!! Mark my words the Chicago Bears will play in a DOMED STADIUM on the Lakefront and let's say it now, The Chicago White Sox will build their new Development and Stadium at the 78. The Mayor and the team are on the same page and this is a SLAM DUNK!!! Now that former Mayor Lightfoot (Mayor "HOTFOOT" ....LOL !!!) has been pushed out of the way, these projects are on the fast track and as for the land at Arlington Heights, wouldn't it be nice if the Bears develop that sight into their new practice and training facility with all the bells and whistles to make that "STATE OF THE ART" and develop the rest into a "BEARS VILLAGE" !!!! Can you say SUPER BOWL in Chicago and how about a FINAL FOUR and or COLLEGE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME and all the mega events you can think of. The Mayor is on board, the team is on board and you can bet your bottom dollar that the NFL will give their blessing on this and who knows what else will happen. How about a MAJOR RENOVATION of the United Center and a further development in that area !!!! The future landscape of the Chicago Sports Scene is about to change dramatically and it's going to happen very soon IMO so get on that bandwagon folks and say MONEY MONEY MONEY and here comes that seismic change !!!!! WHOOPEE !!!!

Why not get the best bang for the buck AH was a very good choice and investment its a better location away from lake effect cold temp and why not let the white sox take soldier field and turn it into a baseball stadium it would be much better to watch a baseball game on the lake front during warmer climate than to be freezing out there trying to watch a football game in the cold months!!!

Shouldn't they consider making the roof retractable? One of the great things about the lakefront is the ability to see the lake obviously and to view the skyline. Depending how it is built having a fully domed stadium might kill those wonderful views.

The business case for a retractable roof doesn't add up. Most stadiums that have them rarely use them. The roof Kevin Warren has mentioned lets in a lot of natural light.

Can't believe that Lori Lightfoot actually proposed this along with a transit plan. She was laughed at abd dismissed. The question is whether CTA can get track rights to connect Soldier Field with the rest of the L either through the Dt Charles Air Line or get row from Metra and connect with the Loop L at Van Buren?

Yeah cuz parking and traffic are ideal. I know Arlington Heights is dead but the beauty of that location is all the surrounding business you could have put around it. The space in Chicago is limited. The best stadiums and arenas always have stuff to do around them after the game

Too small. The only place in the city that has the available land large enough to build the stadium and the surrounding parking and restaurants that they dreamed of is the South Works location. Nearly 500 acres of cleared land right on the lakefront, with Lake Shore Drive, I-90 and Rt. 20 right there. Of course that won't happen because we have a Mayor that refuses to do anything about the crime on the South side.

Does Warren have the backing of George and Virginia on this? They didn’t buy Arlington Park not to develop on it and make it their home. Warren can be in this pseudo love fest with Brandon Johnson and the lakefront but until a shovel is in the ground (this is Chicago we’re talking about) AH is still the location.
